Why does PETA waste their time protesting a renewable, organic industry, with a relatively small carbon footprint that only generates round 18 million dollars per year? Why not go after the real evil-doers, the producers who factory farm beef, pork and poultry. These industries treat animals unethically (keep them confined in cages and pens, pump them full of drugs), heavily pollute the environment, provide unsafe environments for their workers and supply the unhealthy fast food industry.

Well while Im not big fan of the Conservative Harper Government I must commend Gail Shae for her work in promoting Canada's Seal Fishery . As for the Idiotic American woman who threw the pie....as her punishment she should be made eat Seal Flipper Pie for the next 6 months while in prison....in the meantime it is great to see a huge potential market is opening up in China for Canada's Seal Fishery where money making Protest groups such as PETA are outlawed
