BigDon you may at times be disheartened by some of the youth. I was surprised at the number of first time voters offering to hand out flyers and letterbox for the Libs at this election. My sons are doing just that and have reported that there are many like themselves. My sons are Reagan Fans too. One has downloaded "The Great Communicator" and Reagan's speech "A Time For Choosing".

My father was (passed away) a fan of Pauline, however, remained a Lib. Both boys are scrutineering but for different seats, youngest one locally and one where the eldest's friend is standing for a Labor stronghold.

Well I hope to be a scrutineer in the seat of Blaxland, one knows the outcome before the votes are counted, but I like to think it's the thought that counts. A famous seat it might be, but with an infamous history,as we all know ! Am sure your sons will find it all fascinating.

Well BigDon, not the outcome we had hoped for but I can report that the Libs gained slightly but not near enough in the Labor stronghold where my eldest was handing out how-to-votes. The youngest son had better luck with our seat. They are 500+ in front with postals to go. There will be a recount but I think we have held on. It was very nice corresponding with you. Kind regards

My efforts were somewhat less rewarding as my man had a swing of - 5.1 which put him back to around his 2004 result, I did try though a pale Englishman standing for 10 hours under the Australian Sun leaves burning memories....We Will Return....Maybe sooner than some think !
