I have never owned anything but Harleys since I was 16 now 46. My Gramps used to race Harleys, flat track and hillclimb. As long as you are riding that is what matters. hello guys thanks for all the comments. good or bad will always be helpful in the future :) Me and friend Bimbo from "grease monkey philippines" built this bike from a stock honda steed 400cc. made it rigid, floating seat, etc... frame was cut also. fender was built from scrap metal and has 3 hard metal skeletons inside so p-pad can be added and sit on the fender. i have another bike coming up its a honda CB550 and we made it to a shinya kimura inspired art bike. will post it soon. take care!

I don't get all the "Jap crap" stuff..This bike is badass! I ride a VESPA, on poker runs w/ the VFW, American Legion, all grizzled old Harley guys, and you know what? I don't give a rat's ass if they don't like it, but the thing is, they DO! I get all the attention on rides, everybody loves it. I can't go 100 mph like they can but I can cruise at 60-70 mph all day long.

Bike looks great man. I'm a total Harley fan, but that bike has a perfect style of its own! I really dig the old 60's/early 70's Harleys. That exact look. All the way down to the front fender missing. Hell, cut a gas hole at the top front of that tank, fill in the old hole, and that'll be the perfect Oakland bike for the hills and long rides (maxing out the tank space with fuel!

@Tegulicious "Mate" I do own a Harley, 08 super glide,01 1200 Sporty & a1980 wideglide (last of the real Harleys) also have a 07 Honda Shadow, CRF450 & a 69 Triumph Daytona 500. Honda Shadows are American made. How do I know because I used to be a Mechanic for Honda, Kawasaki & now for Frasers Harley-Davidson in Perth. Now I love my Harleys but if you want to get down to an American made product you had best look somewhere else other than Harley Davidson, Yes they are assembled in the states....

@Tegulicious But there is not alot on them that is "American" Fuel injection system, Japanese. Electronics, i.e switches,ignition,alarm,lights­, Japanese. Forks, Japanese, Showa forks they are & have been since around 1967. Wheels all of Harleys cast alloy wheels are made in Melboure Australia. Thats just to name a few things on them. I know for a fact that the Honda Shadaw has a shit load of parts on it stamped "Made in America" Now I maybe wrong as I have only been in the industry for 32 years!

I had a bobber back in the 80's. Had the 16" armadillo crusher front tire, ape hangers, and a strut-less rear fender. It was originally a Superglide with electric start. The first order of business for me was to put a kick start on it. I rarely used the electric start because it didn't look as cool as actually kicking that beast!
