Adopt from a shelter. I've had a Husky puppy and it was an absolute NIGHTMARE. I'll never do it again. I volunteered at Polaris Husky Rescue. The majority of the owner turn-ins were dogs 6 months to 1.5 years. Also know that you will probably never be able to have your dog off leash.
