But to be able to be reasonable you have to look outside the box and see all of the other issues and problems that result in the radicalism that has happened and to understand the muslims you have to look at the past decades of abuse towards other religions by a SMALL group of christains. Just as a small group of muslims are radical so are small groups of christians.

It would also help if we could bring our troops home and work with the people of muslim countries more. It seems we try to use too much force. The united states has a historical tradition of privateering and only agreed 1856 Declaration of Paris, which outlawed privateering during the civil war decades later. The barbary pirates actually have nothing to do with the somali pirates in culture or motivation. And interesting you bring up the treaty of tripoli which states that the government of the united states was never founded on the christian religion.
