  • considering the transport industry is important for delivering certain products and what no I'd suggest a differen't mode of transport. an alternitive to the truck if their ever was a differen't mode?

  • Anyone know what happened at 3:54 and 4:22 ? Looks like they poor Ruttley driver copped a stray trailer.

  • i drive the interstate every night in australia, i dont think people understand how safe truck drivers are. We often end up in a tangle to avoid killing someone who swerves in front of us etc. The media loves to demonize us, but we just want to earn a living and enjoy the freedom of the open road.

  • They always blame the truck driver first. I know It happened to me a few years back, in Brisbane, I young girl in a VW beetle cut me off on the river side express at Turbot St. exit. Come across a full white line as the traffic was stopped already I could do nothing but hit her. The Police came straight up to me breath tested me checked the truck for drugs etc. and blamed me. It was only that the girl admitted to them she had done wrong that I was not charged. Just not fair to blame us.

  • 0:57...... RIP Big Will

  • I drive buses and the amount of stupid things done by cars and pedestrians in front of me is staggering...

People just don't understand that a heavy vehicle can't stop or steer like a sports car and that gap in front of us is there as a safety buffer not so you can race into it then hit the anchors cos the light's gone red....

Also the sign saying "Do Not Overtake Turning Vehicle" is there for a reason!!!

  • i would never be a trucker... ever in my life!!

  • lots of truck crashes are caused by cars, cars dont look when idicating, go straight in front of a lorry and the lorrys is so high up it cant see the car and then the cars gets hit then the car crashes and the other cars may get in the crash.

  • Drive (and ride) for self preservation and that of others should be every road users motto. Maybe a car licence should only be issued when a person can drive a semi and ride a motorcycle so they can appreciate other motorists better. At the moment car drivers are taught to pass a test, not to show they can drive and understand the fundamentals of driving. This has change, the sooner the better.

  • very sobering...

  • The only reason we have truck crashes like this is because people cut in front of truck without giving them room to brake. I have been a Truckie for 10 years and the amount of people who have cut in front of me causing me to slam on my brakes, they are so stupid. Maybe they should get into a truck and drive with a 20 tonne trailer on the back and see if they like it when someone cut them off. Fucken Dicks

  • As a truck driver travelling some of the most dangerous roads in Australia, generally it's not fellow truck drivers you have to worry about. Save for a handful of dickheads, we're generally helpful to each other and car drivers if you don't do anything stupid. We dread long weekends because it means city drivers are on the road, and it makes the job so much harder. Remember car drivers that a truck cannot turn, brake or accelerate like a Mini Cooper

  • there was another truck accident the other day (25/1/12) on the managle bridge in campbelltown. truck crossed the wrong side of the road, and hit a on comming car. but sadly,

the INNOCENT DRIVER AND THERE PASSENGERS, were killed on impacted, the 3rd sadly passed away later in hospital. now, what was the cause by this accident??? SURLY WASNT THE TRUCKIES FAULT, IT WAS CAUSED BY A LEARNER THAT HAD CUT THE TRUCK OFF, if you read above, (USER) bonzo has a point. how many dumb drivers cut trucks off

  • cont... safe use common sense and be grateful for all they do!!

  • .. cont.... is dickheads abusing them and cutting them off. so next time u want to cut them off and are lucky enough to survive it instead of going off at them admit responsibilty and thank them. i hear alot of people compain about them not alot thamk them. how would u feel if it was u away fom ur family for a long time so sum ungrateful dh has food on the table and a comfy bed. while u work into all hour of the night. or if it was ur spouse that as away for so long. so stop complaing drive tbc

  • @nominater1 Thanks for your comment, people wonder why truck drivers are angry.

  • @mozebasic im glad they have video cameras in thier trucks nowdays goes to prove that most of the truckies arent at fault. if only they had that when my dad was truck driving It is in his blood but the last smash he had his truck rolled and caught fire coz some dickhead cut him off. he lucky to be alive. he hasnt driven for about 20 yrs he still misses it! drivers need to use their common sense and stop being selfish. R,I.P to those decessed truckies.

  • @mozebasic i was lucky that i wasnt involved in a smash when my dad use to take me in the truck. some truckies take thier kids sometimes so they can spend time with them. which is another thing car drivers need to think about there could be a kid in the truck.most of the car drivers would kids in ther car and still do stupid crap like cut a truck driver off or pull up beside them when they r trying to turn a corner

  • @nominater1 what is the name of the background music

  • Comment removed

  • @williad43ca im not sure. but it sure pays to take care out there and appreciate how lucky we r. videos like this really hit home. ive been sharing them on facebook to get the message across

  • @nominater1 ummm it's part of the job and they should of think of other's out there before taking so much drugs to just stay up!

  • @fatjesus234 um not all of them take drugs and if u knew that the big companies push them to beyond the limits eg they pick up a load in melbourne at 12pm and it has to be in qld by 9am the next day. Thats slowly changing though with compaines being heavily fined if they push the limits of the driver. I dont agree with them taking drugs it is a dangerous risk heavy machienery and drugs but try to look at the reason behind it all and be glad that the law is changing 4 em 4 safer rds

  • @fatjesus24 well hopefully safer roads if the car drivers also use thier common sense and stop causing half the accidents with thier selfishness and ignorance and impatience.

  • Most of this looks like it was caused by driver error - too fast for the conditions, lack of concentration and planning ahead. Cars treat us like shit, but if we plan better we can escape catastrophic accidents like this because of them doing what they do. Most people assume that if you are allowed to travel at a certain speed, then you should not deviate from it, but if the traffic/weather/road conditions do not permit, then this is what can happen. Please, guys, be sensible out there.

  • Yes how tragic this ie BUt how many of these were caused by dumb people in cars and cut in front of the trucks????????????????????????????????

  • @bonzoAU Very true, you never hear that the car was at fault.

  • Comment removed

  • @bonzoAU dont forget pulling up along side them while the truck trying to turn the corner or round about!! dickheads they r they(the car driver) shouldnt have thier licence they obviously dont have common sense

  • @nominater1

look at the accident in campbelltown on the 25/1/12.

that was caused by a learner driver,

MY OPINION, LEARNERS SHOULD STAY OFF THE FREEWAYS/HIGHWAYS.

  • the white 604 with fte van that was a great mates truck R.I.P lucco missed by all

  • There were a lot of fatals in there...I recognise quite a few of them. You would have to wonder how that one with Ruttlys happened with the trailer on it's side and the king pin ripped out.

  • @gm16v149 dont remember whose trailer it was mate but apparently had whacked another truck and somehow had the trailer come adrift. poor bastard in the ruttleys had nowhere to go.

  • on the road always be very very carreful driving means Chowkas-Carreful

    jamshed kharian-pak

  • thanks 4 makng t more of a reality for w2at the drivers go thru to get the food on the supamarket shelves clothes n ths shops etc wth out them the hole world would come to a stand stll stay safe out there no matter wat ur doing be safe stay legal and enjoy lfe

  • what happened at 1:09-1:11? i worked for the company that owned that truck but i don't remember that accident.. and again at 3:57-3:59? same company...

  • @McFearsome2 Yeah wilsons, scotts bought them out. Im not sure when that accident happened.

  • @mozebasic both the wilsons lead trailer and the primo trailer were from scotts, of which whom i used to work for. scotts had bought wilsons, ID transport and a few others long before i worked for them.

  • @McFearsome2 i already know, thats what i was explaning to McFearsome2. The wilson accident there happened under scotts management.

  • @mozebasic i already know too... and it was me that saying to you that scotts bought them out... i got the impression that you thought i worked for wilsons before the buyout...

i workd for scotts, but i dont recall either of the two accidents and they look kinda recent.

  • @McFearsome2 Before you made any comments on this vid i already stated that scotts bought out wilson. I didnt think there was reason to re state the comment. Yes they do look pretty recent. I think it was within the past 6 years. Ill try find out.
