  • Only missing the Cockney - sounds awkward with a clean, shiny American accent. good tone though.

  • Am I the only one who was thinking about Kurt Hummel and Dave Karofvski?

  • DAT ASS

  • loved it! sound Was good.

  • How did you guys run sound?

  • That cop was all like, "what du fuuuuuuk!?"

  • Damn I thought NYC being all broadway was a stereotype lol

  • At first I thought the security guard that showed up in the beginning of the song was part of the show...

  • Cool!

  • Oh my gosh! Leslie McDonel was in this! That's so cool!

  • it would 3 times better if they kept the English Cockney Accent while singing still good job

  • lol at the end there were people speaking italian

  • This is very clever and we used it at my daughter's school for Choir - The kids loved it.

  • Great performance, I'm impressed

  • hêy_AÑY_gúýs_wåÑt_tÒ_chát_wÌth_mE

  • I wish I could live in New York

  • Was that all planned??? where did the music came from???

  • Is it just me or does the guy in stripes look kinda like Artie from glee?

  • if only you was english? or put on english accents

  • Its pretty amazing

  • Personally, I would have rather watched that blonde guy beat up that skinny kid!

  • This was great. Well done to all involved. I was in the original West End (London) production of Oliver and you guys made me smile. Again, well done!

  • Isnt he from Glee?

  • That guy is sorta cute;;

  • if yall go from place to place doing this. the world will definitely be a better place.

  • Maybe its just me but is someone preaching in the begging in the background?

  • is it just me or was that guys shirt WAY to tight...

  • Great video. I'm not use to hearing this song being sung by an American woman rather than a young British boy.

  • I want to join Break Out In Song

  • i love new york city. ♥

anyone know where the music's coming from? i didn't see musicians or a boombox.

  • this was bad

  • GREAT!!

  • I wouldnt mind doin this for a living!

  • Really awesome!! =D

  • it sounds werd in an american acsent

  • were they doing a show or did they justed start singing it when they wont supost to

  • I love this.

  • xD it looks like Broadway escaped

  • Brilliant! One of my favourite songs from one of my favourite musicals!

  • I have long wished that my small but beautifully formed City of Chester would see the merits of this kind of street theatre.

We have excellent buskers but no 'happenings'. The record of the audience's faces as they cottoned on to what was happening was a joy to watch and it added to the tourist value of the place. I felt I was there.

Thanks for sharing this and thanks to my mate Max for passing it on.

    Brilliant

  • This performance was TOP SELF and DYNAMIC!!!! Thanks you for documenting this MAGICAL BIG APPLE moment!

    ~Max

  • I have to deal with a few bad people myself and look up ways of making it safe. alot of them advise people to sing a song you know but i think it better to use a common one like Consider Yourself from oliver because people are more likely to know the words

  • I can't imagine how unnerving it must be to start singing the lead when the spectators don't know what's happening yet...

  • hahaha legendary

  • Fail troll is fail.

  • @RomZomCom - Fail street musical is fail.

  • That was fantastic.

    It could only be NYC.

  • i wish this happened tomeeveryday. life would be somuch more fun.

  • OLIVER IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE MUSICALS. I usually hate them

this was funny. i'm a girl and i played dodger in my third grade school musical. me mum's from east london, so she made me do a cockney accent

  • @EmilyBarnettGinsberg

Yes it is a good musical. I just discovered it after hating it for many years due to the fact that I had to put it on at school. Trouble was, it was so badly organised as they swapped the cast round for every scene to get everyone a part. Nobody knew what the hell was happening :)

  • weeee cool i like it u guys rock!

  • The cop wasn't in on it. /watch?v=l8ZqOoa9wqY&feature=fvw

  • i love it! <3

  • when i went to disney world, they had crap like this all over the place. it was freakin amazing.

  • Wow, that's soo cool! :D You guys are awesome!

  • LMAO well said!!!!

  • Ya gotta love public art! God bless America

  • Whatever the scene - it made people smile. It's great!

  • New York Rocks! Greatest city in the world. This was probably a lot more impressive in person and live.

  • Lol. Hmmmm. Its really funny song.

  • Kinda surprised people don't realize it's staged...

  • The guy with the vest is not a cop. He looks like some cop from fucking England in the middle of times square what a load of bullshit. He was in on it. The whole thing is staged.

  • Lets put you in charge of the obvious

  • Brilliant, Captain Obvious.

  • For those who don't know this was staged, think about the fact that they're all wearing microphones on their clothes. All of a sudden, music and their voices are pumped over a PA, picked up well on the multi-angle cameras.

YES, this group is doing random public appearances and it's already made the news. It's FANTASTIC. I hope they continue with other pieces - I bet it took a while to practice this to do it in public. I also hope they don't ever do political messages. GOOD JOB!

  • @KitWriter That song they so many different dances you can do for that bit..

  • that was weird how everyone knew the same song.

  • thats awesome! :D

  • That lead girl has a nice body. Daddy like.

  • Made me feel good ! forgot about same bs for a few minutes. very refreshing !

  • XD i hope i get to see this

  • that's so awesome!

  • really good idea! I hope this kinda thing catches on everywhere

  • staged?

  • LMAO! I hope you're joking.

Times Square ain't a Fairytale, lol.

  • ...staged? Nooooooooo no way, it was all random luck...

  • omg i had to sing this with my choir class xD

  • Comment removed

  • gave me the jitters

  • holy crap that's amazing!!

  • lol well done... my only question is where do u music playing out of. and im sure that the audio track that we just heard through the youtube video was just overdubbed over the live performance

  • I think you can see some speakers at the back of the crowd in the overview shots.1
