  • Ironic that a song named 'Breathe' has taken my breath away...

  • Her name is Eska Mtungwazi

  • WHERE IS HER NAME? I need to know HER NAME!!!

  • @TheFloripastral You mean 'howmany' is her name!

  • one of the few things I believe to be true in music, is that the time of pause and silence are just as important as all the notes, this was thaught to me by my music teacher 15 years ago.

  • 1 year since someone left a comment? So I guess I am the first in a year. Hurray for me :) This song is absolutely beautiful. It reminds me of the City Of Angels soundtrack. The soundtrack to that movie is amazing! But this song is so beautiful and relaxing. Something to make strong passionate love to and then relax and embrace each other and just breathe :)

  • Why is she reading? she doesn't know the lyrics?

  • @leblair she's a guest singer. someone else sings the song on the CD. my mom gets asked sing a lot, sometimes at short notice. there are times when she has like to have the words in front of her, along with the sheet music, just to make sure she stays on point.

  • This is amazing.

  • *Sehr *sehr *schön*

  • Okay... My Fat lady has now sung... let me go home.. i can die now

  • @mochachoes It's been 8 months since your comment...Are you dead yet?

  • Okay... My Fat lady has now sung... let me go home.. i can die now

  • Unbelievable, I am lost for words.

  • Is this Eska? She worked with Zero7 on their last CD! This performance is beautiful but you cannot really top Fontella's "wise" singing which is maybe the combination of her age and talent!

  • This is wonderful ! I can't find some appropriate words to describe what I'm feeling, listening to this song. I'm just carried away...

    Thanks Cinematics!

  • What a goddess!

  • She's beautiful I love this ***LIKE***

  • think the studio version is alot better tbh :/ still amazing

  • ART.

  • masterpiece! . . . . .

  • What a beautiful song! My god. I remember when I discovered Breathe!! I was walking in Barcelona, sad with my Ipod in shuffle song, and sudenly start this master piece and I walked without direction all the song, and then repeat, repeat, repeat. Thanks Cinematics

  • surely not same voice as the album

  • @Julesplayssomemusic On this live vidéo singer is Eska Mtungwazi, in the album "ma fleur" this is Fontella Bass...

  • @Aiina And the singer behind Eska is Heidi Vogel.

  • gorgeous. this is a wonderful spirit soothing, brain massage. amazing.

  • Who is that singing? And who actually sings the album version? I ♥ this voice

  • @twistedvanity89 this is the one from the album, dont know her name!

  • @TheMysticbeat It's not the same person :) On the album it's Fontella Bass. If you want to see who that is, look up "Cinematic Orchestra - All That You Give feat Fontella Bass" here, there's a neat video featuring her!

  • @Demoras my bad.. I was convinced it was the same singer.. Still cinematic is an insperation for us all! have a good one!

  • @TheMysticbeat That's alright, mate ;) I thought so too at first. Indeed, Cinematic Orchestra is absolutely awesome!

  • @twistedvanity89 Live and on record it is Fontella Bass. The same gal who sang "Rescue Me".

  • Dancing with Silence.

  • I firstly heard The Cinematic Orchestra through a Hed Kandi collection (winter chill 1 / 1999) and their "Channel 1 Suite" impressed me . Since then they re my favourite band , with their future jazz , electro smoked out tunes and vibes.. this Saturday they play in Athens for the third time and of course i ll be there .. but i wish i could hear them in a place like The Royal Albert Hall with a live orchestra like this one supporting!!

  • Unbelievable track, sends a shiver all down my spine. Can't wait to see these at the Albert Hall later this month.

  • even my feet have goosebumps.

  • I think thats Eska singing (correct me if i'm wrong) - I was working with her at my college last year! Nice lady...

  • @dillweed44 Lucky you! she is a very talented lady!

  • My All Time favorite! - so Beautyful Song....just for dreaming and Flying away.....Love and Peace!

  • I thank you for the beauty of this music

  • great song! :)

  • 8 people without ears - its sad.

  • mu leipei...

  • true talent tends to go unoticed by the commercial market, creativity died in the 90's this is beautiful

  • the 8 that thumped this song down, are simply def ...

  • drive to the mountains.....smell the fragrant aroma of pine trees....and..listen....take in this track....pure bliss...

  • Гениально!

  • This transported me, truly.

  • 8 people hit the thumbs down on opposite day... there is no other excuse.

  • When you are in the wrong mood, this one makes you cry like a baby :-)))

  • really nice song one of my fav for this year

  • Beautiful, beautiful music!

  • It can not even express in words, absolutely amazing :))

  • I am only now discovering this group of genius musicians and singers... incredible. It makes me feel like there still is so much beauty in the world, we just have to find it sometimes.

  • OMG i just discovered this band :S Where was I all this time, they sound wonderful.

  • All these lives.. can put you to tears.. if you just listen.

  • not going to lie, i am a man, and this album makes me weep like a little baby. beautiful music.

  • Touches the deepest parts of my heart and soul and comforts me. Beautiful !

  • de las mejores canciones que e escuchado en bastante tiempo, pero me gusta aun mas en la voz de Fontella Bass

  • de las mejores canciones que e escuchado en bastante tiempo, es buena la cantante, pero me gust aun mas con Fontella Bass

  • What a piece of art!

  • Блин на конерте бы побывать, таких щей хлебнуть!)

  • man this song hits my heart hard and travels waves of heat throughout my body.

  • amazing

  • Beautiful.

  • i freain love this group.........

  • Very poignant... need to look up this group.

  • Cinematic Orchestra is picking up where Zero7 left off...I totally love CO's sound, guest artists, and overall feel...Zero7 once had what Cinematic Orchestra now has, but they have long left their fans in the dust; along with their signature sound...

  • I like this better than the original...

  • Is Ma Fleur the best cd from the cinematic orchestra to buy?

  • @vBlogmiscarrage I Would buy it anyway. Is a pretty good album. One of my favorites of 2007.

  • oh god... what is it that makes cinematic orchestra's music so celestial...

  • lovely

  • I am so glad that I clicked on this.. First time I have heard of this band and their great music.. Love it!

  • Oh I say!!

  • This music .... is a trip for the dreams ....

  • I'm really liking this band. ( :

  • The beauty in this song and performance is just beyond words.

  • @midnightradioshow Enough of your bullshit

  • Man, it's crazy how much better this song is with this woman over it. The original is ok, but this version is just on another level IMO.

  • i agree but it's a shame cos the original is sung by Fontella Bass who gave great vocals on Every Day. She was very ill after having a stroke in 2005. It's particularly poignant as a song about accepting death - but i do agree that this version is something else...

  • if this song doesnt touch you then theres someting really wrong with you.

    its just... WOW!!!

  • I agree with you!!!!

  • This song relaxes me before bed!! its so haunting and makes me drift to a calmer place, a fab find for me

  • I absolutely love this woman and her upliftinf presence

  • rally wonerful but sidsel endersen is the best!!!!

  • She's an angel within my gut.

She deconstructs me and constructs me again.

  • this is some powerful shit

  • her voice freakinq blows my mind man

for the last 2 week now all i've been listeninq to

  • Stuart McCallum on guitar and Heidi Vogel on BV's here. Lovely work guys!

  • fontellas voice suits better to this song

but that's a pretty good piece though

original version makes me loose my breath, this one is just different

  • you guys should check out ''to build a home''

    also from C.O.

it's one of the best songs ever recorded.

  • Checked out )) It's awesome!

  • Who are these people? This is just great, I'm swept away

  • If i ever experience a better performance in my lifetime i shall consider myself very fortunate!

  • shit .. the drums didn't sound well... they were to low.... and needed fontela bass too... but even so .. great.

  • love this

  • This tunes your head fine =)

  • mezmerizing...

  • I think I have personally added at least 10,000 of the listens here, simply gorgeous. They have mastered dynamics and mood like no other. I was lucky to see them live a while back and if you can, make a point of it!!!

  • Absolutely awesome music :)

  • Imádom a cinemaic orchesta-t! Semmi sem tud jobban megnyugtatni. Talán a coldcut-stone chilled groove, de nem biztos.

  • music is a beautiful thing

  • I can't even begin to how explain how this music makes me feel. What a beautiful intertwining of classical instruments and modern rock instruments. They got it all. Tradiational drumset, classical strings, and high tech mac technology, and then vocals so beautiful they serve their purpose to transcend and talk to the higher being. All of these together to preciously construct sound waves that literally give me chills all around my body as I sit here basking in its fragile care and beauty.

  • @Yeadude08 You said it. good job.

  • This is an EPIC soundscape. What a vocalist and band, full stop!

  • i love the ending of this

  • I Love this song

  • can somebody tell me who the vocalist is in this performance.

  • Comment removed

  • It's not Fontella Bass, but he says her name at the end of the video, unfortunately I'm French and I don't understand him... :s

  • yeah he says : thank you esther and heidi. The lead singer is Esther, but Esther who? Because on the album it's Fontella Bass who sings it, and in most of the live performances it's Heidi Vogel, but in this one Heidi Vogel sings background.

  • Her name is Eska, She is a london based singer who I believe is- by far one of the best vocalists around. You should check her out preforming with Matthew Herbert and his big band or doing her own stuff, her vocal gymastics are to die for.....................
