one of the few things I believe to be true in music, is that the time of pause and silence are just as important as all the notes, this was thaught to me by my music teacher 15 years ago.
1 year since someone left a comment? So I guess I am the first in a year. Hurray for me :) This song is absolutely beautiful. It reminds me of the City Of Angels soundtrack. The soundtrack to that movie is amazing! But this song is so beautiful and relaxing. Something to make strong passionate love to and then relax and embrace each other and just breathe :)
@leblair she's a guest singer. someone else sings the song on the CD. my mom gets asked sing a lot, sometimes at short notice. there are times when she has like to have the words in front of her, along with the sheet music, just to make sure she stays on point.
Is this Eska? She worked with Zero7 on their last CD! This performance is beautiful but you cannot really top Fontella's "wise" singing which is maybe the combination of her age and talent!
What a beautiful song! My god. I remember when I discovered Breathe!! I was walking in Barcelona, sad with my Ipod in shuffle song, and sudenly start this master piece and I walked without direction all the song, and then repeat, repeat, repeat. Thanks Cinematics
@TheMysticbeat It's not the same person :) On the album it's Fontella Bass. If you want to see who that is, look up "Cinematic Orchestra - All That You Give feat Fontella Bass" here, there's a neat video featuring her!
I firstly heard The Cinematic Orchestra through a Hed Kandi collection (winter chill 1 / 1999) and their "Channel 1 Suite" impressed me . Since then they re my favourite band , with their future jazz , electro smoked out tunes and vibes.. this Saturday they play in Athens for the third time and of course i ll be there .. but i wish i could hear them in a place like The Royal Albert Hall with a live orchestra like this one supporting!!
I am only now discovering this group of genius musicians and singers... incredible. It makes me feel like there still is so much beauty in the world, we just have to find it sometimes.
Cinematic Orchestra is picking up where Zero7 left off...I totally love CO's sound, guest artists, and overall feel...Zero7 once had what Cinematic Orchestra now has, but they have long left their fans in the dust; along with their signature sound...
i agree but it's a shame cos the original is sung by Fontella Bass who gave great vocals on Every Day. She was very ill after having a stroke in 2005. It's particularly poignant as a song about accepting death - but i do agree that this version is something else...
Instant goosebumps! Saw these guys at the Brighton Dome a few years back performing a live soundtrack to 'Man With a Movie Camera', one of the best nights of my life...
Yes, this reminds my soul over many worlds and many places. This takes my soul back and makes me remember........... Many past lives before this one........ My soul remembers.....
That is amazing, it almost makes me want to cry! I am seeing them tonight in London baby! This has made me look forward to it so much more.. apparently they have done the soundtrack to the new disney movie, im in trigued (hope they play some classics tho)
I think I have personally added at least 10,000 of the listens here, simply gorgeous. They have mastered dynamics and mood like no other. I was lucky to see them live a while back and if you can, make a point of it!!!
I can't even begin to how explain how this music makes me feel. What a beautiful intertwining of classical instruments and modern rock instruments. They got it all. Tradiational drumset, classical strings, and high tech mac technology, and then vocals so beautiful they serve their purpose to transcend and talk to the higher being. All of these together to preciously construct sound waves that literally give me chills all around my body as I sit here basking in its fragile care and beauty.
