I think it's an interesting idea. But since Apple's name isn't anywhere on it, not many others will think so. Two years later, when Apple releases the amazing, revolutionary "multi-squeeze" phone with back-plate controls, people will sing praises and I'll be rolling my eyes (while secretly wanting one).
Of course I have nothing against Apple; it's just that these days it seems like they're the only ones that are allowed to "innovate" without getting snickered at.
@TherapudicCaffeine Yeah, it's quite sad really, other companies design cheap new electronics but months or years apple get a hold of it, call it anything on their word of the day calendar such as "magical" and then there are queues outside every apple store lol, i think people just pay for the logo, if other companies could manipulate the public and market like apple do we would have had iphone clones before the iphone, then making the iphone a clone of them
@TherapudicCaffeine It would be nice though if apple didn't forget basic features of a phone and then introduce it on a new model, video recording could have been available with the first iphones with a simple firmware update, so could picture messaging and copying and pasting, apple do make great products sure but they are always very late to it, they corner advertising and marketing and they can make it look new easily, it would be nice if they could remember what makes a phone a phone
@TheMegaJet Yeah, I can't believe they left out a video cam on the first Gen iPhone. (It couldn't have been fxed with a firmware update, btw, since it was the actual hardware of the camera that sucked. Even if you get Cycorder on a jailbroken iPhone, you only get like 2 fps, because it's basically just taking pictures in rapid succession.)
Anyway, even my old flip phone from 2004 had a video cam, as well as a few other things that the first and even second gen couldn't do.
@TherapudicCaffeine Still, 2 fps is 2 fps, it was still possible despite how terrible it was but it is unbelievable they didn't include it, how revolutionary lol, I really wish apple got up to speed with technology, sure they make it look nice but if they were actually up to date then imagine the things they could have on the next iphone or mac, they would be unstoppable lol
@TheMegaJet Well I just watched the unveiling of iPhone OS 4 today and I'm pretty impressed with what they did there. I think they did step it up a notch with this latest release, even if they were playing catch-up in some areas (like multi-tasking).
@TherapudicCaffeine they are experts at marketing and manipulating the public, remember the 2nd gen iphone? For most people that was the "beginning" of 3g, I don't even need to note the sarcasm there

Ugly as hell and the "squeeze" stuff would never catch on. Ever.

HAHAHA I remember when they said mp3's would never catch on... I also remember when they said the internet was a fad and would die off.
Just because you dont like it... dosent mean it wont catch on..
I hate touch screens... they just make things harder, but they are here to stay.

You know, i don't recall the one about the internet being a "fad" since it was a government project long before it was a consumer product...
