The 20R in my dad's Celica can be held at 8K for quite a while!! It doesn't have a limiter, and won't blow either!! Not bad for a 34 year old engine... considering like 90% of the cars these days can't even hit like 6-7K!! lol

mass air flo my 16v would rev 2 55 100 and sounded like hell swapd it and now screams like usual

I have a 86 22r converted to efi and it does the same thing . my guss is a sensor or ecm.
