  • Beautiful greenhouse! I have a tiny little one maybe 8'X6', it is on skids & for the winter it gets towed into a Quonset which is about the size of your greenhouse. I get a longer lifespan on the greenhouse film that way. I love my little greenhouse, wish it was a bit bigger though. I have been enjoying your videos & I just subscribed so I am looking forward to seeing more, hopefully one of your greenhouse full of plants. If you want to see my green house go to tidal wave petunia's 2010.

  • @prairiepatch thanks, I have a small one to I adore.. an old chicken house.. I hope to do a little later in the greenhouse but time will be limited.. thanks for stopping, and I will check out yours..:)

  • Did you guys build the greenhouse yourself or have professional help?

  • @ILuvCaroline we hired it done.. we had no time.. it wouldn't be done if we would of done it..LOL

  • @EarthyPlum oh I know.. I am afraid of my plants in the ground living because we are dry and warm , with the dormant plants well could be a problem..

  • Roxy is beautiful! Great building you have there :) LOL Not sure but I think it might be as big as my whole backyard!

  • @qzsue68 it could be it is 40x70 in size.. Roxie is a joy to have out when working the greenhouse.. She will be 10 this year..

  • What a nice adult gardening play ground!!

  • @dianemummvideos yes and today most of the snow is all melted here and its went up to 56 degrees! unreal.i will check to see maybe there r other daffodils sprouts or hopefully the ones coming up r still in tack.i will say this has been one really unsual winter.i can't complain thats for sure!

  • They have pro mix bx at my hydro store in bales. "ProMix BX, Bale contains Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss (80-85%/vol.). Endomycorrhize (Mycorise® PRO). Perlite - horticultural grade. Vermiculite. Dolomitic & Calcitic Limestone (pH adjuster). Macronutrients. Micronutrients. Wetting agent." Is that the same? Do you add anything to that or need to? I await your answer with great eagerness! Can you grow acid loving things like blueberries in it?

  • @mediamaker2000 nope don't add anything, hmm I would try on the blueberries , haven't grown them in this but I don't think it would hurt them. works for all types of plants..

  • I'd love to have that kind of room wow awesome!

  • @Gospelgardener777 , Robin, it does serve my needs..

  • if i could only have a tenth of that size in a greenhouse! WoW!

  • @emsapowell my first one was 12x16 , still have it, I love my small one!

  • That looks like a great green house. So big. Sounds like lots of work but also alot of fun.

  • @niffer58 , yes all of the above.. LOL it felt good to be in the sun today..

  • Can I rent some of that space out?? lol. Wonderful space, and with weather like that I would be in the greenhouse too!

  • @TheOntarioGardener if you were closer I let you come and help..:P

  • @dianemummvideos haha... I can pot things up pretty fast, trust me!

  • @Adoseofeastcoast but it is a good idea though if I could, I would ^^

  • @Adoseofeastcoast I was just coming up with an idea ok so don't be sarcastic to me

  • Holy smokes that's a huge greenhouse!!!

  • @Thesmalltowngardener , it is , I mean it used to seem like it, but it fills up quickly.. , hubby really wants it..to play with his tractors..:D

  • Hey Diane, if you make your own potting soil and sell it... that is a good idea! You can make up your own name and make the compost yourself!

  • @Incredibleisaac2 hey y dont u just do that ?

  • Hey Diane, You are gonna need a lot of plants to fill the Monster Greenhouse. Looks like you have your hand full there. I just subscribed. I'm looking forward to see how thing go at your greenhouse. Keep it growin.

  • @scottmanb2005 , believe me it is overfull by April.. thanks for subbing appreciate it lots, I will probably do a few greenhouse videos once I get some things going inside , that will be in March.. :)

  • Wow, what I wouldn't do for a greenhouse like that. My husband and I are building a 8ft X 16ft hoop house for me to put my seedlings in. Hopefully, we can get it done in the next few weeks. Take care.

  • @lauriegirl2 , you say that now, just like I did, but it is lots of hours .. Enjoy your smaller one , trust me.. I will be putting up a smaller version in a couple years to grow directly in.. this one I can't wait to get started on..

  • A greenhouse bigger than my home! It's HUGE!

  • @Praxxus55712 , it is not as big as it looks.. LOL

  • Brent Musburger - " You are looking live at Texas Stadium..." ooops thats just Dianes greenhouse ! Oh geeez that thing gets bigger every time I see it. Pro Mix huh? I'll have to check it out. :-)

  • @mhpgardener ,Bobby you are too funny, no bigger just maybe looks like it.. this is it for me, going to go smaller on my next one.. LOL yes I love pro mix makes some nice plants .. My next greenhouse we will be able to plant directly in the soil.. can't wait!

  • Good lord !!! That's not a Greenhouse... That's a GreenCASTLE !!

    THAT is SWEET !

How big is it? What sort of business do you run (plants, veggies, shrubs, etc).

I want to get into that, so I need to pick your brain...

And yea, hot winter... it's nice now, but I'm afraid we are going to have another killer summer.

  • @texasprepper2 , well after 2 other greenhouses , we had to go bigger and it never is big enough I am finding out.. It is 40 x 70, tall, cause hubby gets it for a shop when I am done.. LOL

  • I know right? It is a perfect job for me! Maybe when I get older :)

  • If I had that space I'd want to build a spaceship too. But I also love growing things. Spaceships can wait. We got your warm weather and melted the snow. Take care.

  • it's 63 here. :) Northern California. Usually it's rainy at this time...:|

  • @hortulanus94 , sounds good we could use some rain, we are dry as ever here, not much snow this year so far..

  • Nice Diane! It sounds like a fun buisness to do! Selling plants in a greenhouse. Awesome! I want to do that!

  • @Incredibleisaac2 well Isaac you would be great cause you have a natural love for plants..

  • It was probably 75 degrees here today..

  • @ShannyCleaner so nice, we are extremely above temps here..

  • Thanks for the video Diane. That is quite a green house you have there.

  • @TheProductiveGarden it is made it this way so hubby can use for a shop someday, high enough to get the tractors in..LOL

  • It sure is nice here too, I got my gh all cleaned out and rearranged the last couple days. It is getting exciting that spring MAY come early. But also scary at the same time.

  • You should move in there and make-believe it's summer. I planted some of the pepper seed that you gave me, today.

  • @dalecalder2003 , sure felt like summer..LOL good luck with the peppers..

  • The weather has been rather warm this winter it makes it feel almost like spring : )

  • @Planting81 , yes it has I was hoping winter would be now, but afraid it may come later which is never any good..
