He is saying something like that you should use a snap of the wrist, elbow and shoulder. Use the extending of the shoulderblade to gain more power. You will get more reach as well. @ 0.47 he is saying that you should not rotate that part of your back.
you're welcome. I can follow only parts myself to be honest with you. But I have the DVD myself which also is in English so I checked it with the DVD to verify.
In case you are interested, the DVD is available at karate-dvd . com, check "best karate".
@WadoAJ Strange that he says that (0,47). the low back you shouldn't rotate reason for that is that the bones is not constructed for that while shoulder part is different the bones is constructed for rotation. And you should use it for even more reach and power. I do not know karate I only look from biomechanic point of view.
@mayoolkosw What I mean is that he say you shouldn't rotate the shoulders. If I understand right from your post and video. Just want to clear that out from my first post.
Which form of Karate is this?

i am not agree with this
it doesnt have any sense to keep your shoulders back if you want to generate more power
Maybe looks good but its not practical.
IN a puch like this all body works together to generate power if you are not using your back and your shoulders your punch wont be strong enough

@aoshi3000 I think Kagawa is saying NOT to keep your shoulders back but I could be wrong. Needs English subtitles
