and gentle spirit of a man should! You could feel the humility and

beaming light of forgiveness in him.Tears streamed down my face

like never before seeing this. Goodbye Larry take your reward that

    awaits you.

  • That video was very hard to watch but i must say it changed me. God Bless you Larry... You are truly an inspiration to all people with or without an illness to fight.

  • May God bless you and your precious family. This video gave me a much needed attitude adjustment.

  • an absolutely beautiful and humbling story... it's things like these that keep me searching youtube... God bless this family.

  • Thank you very much for posting this. I have recently been diagnosed myself with this condition. I have different religeous beliefs it appears from him. But that is not why I am writing this Its firstly just to say I identified with quite a lot of what he said. But secondly simply to say what will be clear to most people who watch this film - Larry Damerval what a very impressive man. Thank you for posting this

  • It's pure insanity to read people say "god bless you". God wants him to suffer a horrible death? You people are sick! Poor guy :(

  • @DeusUniversa10 I think there must be something you're not understanding. Are you saying that you think that God cannot bless this man in this situation? Because He can. Even up until the end.

  • it must be complete hell to have an absolutely sound mind trapped inside a prison of a body that just will not move.

  • My Grandpa passed away in January due to ALS(lou geherigs disease) which is what larry had...RIP

  • Man I told myself I wasn't going to cry this time, but every time I listen to his message I can't help it! What an outlook!

  • Wow, if you didn't at least tear up over this video, i don't know what kind of person you are!

  • this is so hard to watch and it amazing that he is so grateful for what he has and bless him

  • Oh my...I am sitting here with tears streaming down my face...it breaks my heart..what a wonderful man. I feel so blessed to have seen this video...because he has taught me so much in those 3 minutes....God bless you friend. No more pain...God is holding you now.

  • This video reminds me of my husband and how he tried to protect me from the disease, by not telling me how he felt and changes in his body. I know he is running and jumping through heaven. He spent 22 yrs Air Force and it was the military that gave him this horriable disease. Do I hate right now, yes I do. Its only been a year but it feels like yesterday. God Bless all families who has a loved one going through this. Love ya baby, forever...Your wife and daughters

  • @Wilma0426 the military did not do this. the causes for this disease are still unknown. im so sorry for your family i will pray for you

  • I see in this video my husband who passed away from this horriable disease. He always was concerned of my feeling. I know he is in a better place and some day I will see him again. He is running through heaven. My husband spent 22 yrs Air Force of his life that was taken away from from the military. Do I hate yes i do and someday I hope it gets easier to deal with.

  • if there were a life form of ALS such as if it were an animal, id make it suffer a slow painful death, just as its done to people like this

  • @stgz13

    what good would that do

  • rest in peace.

  • My Mo has thesse disease to. She couldt not speak since two years and she couldt not walk since one year. Here in germany we say to this disease ALS (amyotrophe Lateralsklerose). My Mom will be die and Iám so afraid of this..

  • @diekleene1987 I'm sorry to hear that, but remember that this life is not everything we still have the eternal and if she is saved you have nothing to worry about cause she will be a much better place with Jesus where she will not be sick anymore and she will be able to walk and talk in Heaven. Leave it all in His hands :) It most be hard but remember God is close to you when problems come and He will comfort you :) God bless you and your whole family

  • This is not fair. Why do these things never happen to bad people?

  • Christ paid much more for all of us, we attend to forget that sometime. He get's more glory in this type of situation. He's love show much more in the eyes of people like this man, who is our brother in Christ. Brought tears and joy in my heart. Thanks for sharing this video.

  • @sungmee45 I am interested in what you sayi.e. that Christ paid much more for all of us. I've made the comparison, mentally , between crucifixion and Motor Neurone Disease / ALS. several times. While I don't think I would choose Cruciffxion over MND it has the advantage of being relatively quick. This may seem an odd thing for me to think about, but it is because I have recently been diagnosed with MND. It is easy to say that something else is worse...if you do not have this diagnosis....

  • @sungmee45 I mean no offence to you or to your beliefs, but it is easy to comment about a condition if you don't have it. (if you DO have the condition then-apologies) While my beliefs are I think, different to your own, I have always been more than open to the existence off a creator. If there IS one, and if there is the opportunity to communicate with him in the hereafter, well I'll want some answers about MND-it is a really poor piece of creation, which I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy

  • I know this pain of loss, and I have lost 3 that were very close to me. My own brother was very painful as it is for so many. My heart goes out to all.

  • This Has truely touched me my daddy passed from ASL I miss him everyday. but i know hes in gods hands now

  • It's in YOUR hands. The Cure for Cancer is NOT consuming the poisons that CAUSE cancer, and, instead, consuming a tremendous amount of freshly juiced raw organic fruits and vegetables. watch?v=E0CzvhPU5q4 Google Dr. Richard Schulze

  • GOD bless you and your family!

  • God bless your soul larry. Your in a better place, and you deserve to be in heaven more then anyone ive ever met. I'll see you soon

  • then why isnt god saving this poor man? if god can create human why cant he cure this man?

  • @MrRooster408 if I had ALS, I wouldn't ask God why this was happening. Instead, I'd feel blessed that of all the people in the world He could choose to work through, He chose me. When God spends time on you (whether good or bad), you should feel blessed that He's taking time on you.

  • @MrRooster408 because its this poormans time to go home

  • About a year ago i had a mini stroke and was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease at the same time. Now the Dr.'s are testing me for ALS. I hope and pray to God that i have half the willpower to carry on as Larry did! I

  • @james32347 Im praying 4 u dude!

  • I know how it is to lose someone like this. My friend Haley Stevens...she was a Central High School Kilty Dancer and Drummer. She had the most impact on her life when she found out that she had ALS. She meant so much to me...I never got to know her very well but she was always a friend of many friends that I have known. As for Larry, may God bless your soul and may you rest in peace.

  • he died?

  • This video was very hard to watch.

May the Lord bless him and keep him, may the Lord make His face to shine upon him and be gracious to him and may the blessing of God almighty, Father, Son and Holy Spirit be with him always. Amen.

  • Maureen, if you read this, I cant imagine how much you miss him. I pray that you have peace and that you may find joy again, if it has not return. Thank you Lord Chist for the comfort of knowing that Larry will see Maureen again in heaven. he will be healed and able to wrap his arms around her again

  • Larry,I lost my brother stewart Oct 14, 2008- to ALS- he was 54 years old.He left with a heart for Jesus. • Wow. Very moved by this. I'm not a believer but what he shared here was powerful and beautiful.

    -Greg

  • OMG that was very hard to watch but this man taught me more in four minutes and ten seconds than I've learned in a lifetime.

The wonderful thing about this is that he cared more about what his wife went through than what he went through. God bless you Larry and may you rest in peace.

  • Sorry my english.I'm from Finland. My mom died 2006.She hated people trying placing god in this thing.Stayed with her the last year, and god left her. That how she "said".If there is a milder way to say what I feel about god...Tell me.

  • Rip Larry.God bless you.

  • Wow, i cant believe how much this man reminds me of my father. His physical appearance, his speech and mannerisms.. and his undying faith

My father passed away from ALS 2 years ago and no word can express how much i miss him. Sometimes the hurt is so bad, i run away from it. But thanks to this video i feel my dad talking to my heart, through Larry, reminding me of how i need to embrace each day. Thank you for sharing.

Rest in Peace to Larry and my Dad

  • Wie Unendlich Traurig dieses Video auch ist, so zeigt es doch, niemals aufzugeben. Ich verehre diesen Menschen. ALS Kranke dieser Welt, wir sind bei euch, in unseren Gedanken.

  • I just lost a wonderful brother to this dreadful disease. This terrible ordeal was a cruel end to a great guys young life who had so much to live for.

  • I cried, so sad.

  • This sounds and looks like he was such a sweet Angle on this sinful earth that we created he appreciates God in such a way that others need to appreciate in

  • Bless you Larry and may you rest in Peace. Thank you for your strength and true words of wisdom shared in this video

  • when you face your death ... you realize what's important .... and all the money in the world and all the possessions mean NOTHING.... all that matters is the experiences you had and the love you shared.... Love this guy ... thanks buddy

  • I also cried...

he sounds like he was a wonderful man.

  • Sad thing to apprehend. I have an exam over this tomorrow.

My condolences to Larry and anyone else who suffers from this.

I will comment that I don't see how he has such strong faith when caught in the middle of something so horrible. It's hard to see a positive influence in such a negative outcome.

  • i started crying

  • Sweet Larry u r an angel now with God!!

U taught us a lesson! Thank you

  • No matter how many times i watch this video. It always reduces me to tears...

  • Life is so precious and so short....but the life to follow is eternal. May you rest eternally my brother in christ. Through Christ Death has no sting nor victory... for the wages of sin is death but the gift of god is eternal life through Jesus Christ....

  • i can't believe i'm crying..

  • Oh My God, I know that this man is in heaven.

    God bless everyone.

  • i cried..

    we must really appreciate life..

there is no time to be down or whatsoever..

  • My dad just passed away of ALS.

God bless everyone living with this terrible disease.

  • I can't stop crying. It's so sad

  • Read Tuesday's With Morrie. It is a good book with a teacher with ALS

  • My heart goes out to Larry's family and friends. I am struggling with a progressive neuromuscular disease so it was hard not to break down when I watched this video. Larry's message will be with me forever.

  • Its very sad i take care of a very nice man who lives with als they are the same person that they were before als only thing affected is the body not the mind and heart that these people have its so hard to go into work everyday and see them suffering but yet he still laughs at tv show's and funny jokes and cries at sad movies :(

  • Whatever happened to Larry by the way?

  • Jenegy1024; Sadly, Lary passed away September 8th 2007 in his home.

  • dam...

  • I saw this video for the first time last wednesday. One of the students in my medical terminology played it for his presentation of ALS. There was not a dry eye in the room. This really opened my eyes to how lucky I really am to have my health and that I also need to do more for God and not stay in my comfort zone. God has been so good to me, and I need to show my appreciation more. I will never take anything for granted as long as I have testimonies like this engraved in my mind. Thanks Larry.

  • Mr. Larry. He was my neighbor and best friends father since i was 4. I miss him so dearly. May God bless him and his family.

    <3 hannah

  • I was just diagnosed with ALS 3 weeks ago and now using a feeding tube. I was asked by my fiancee (who fell in love with me already broken)to keep fighting till the end so for the sake of finding a cure, Maybe I am that one miracle that will bring a cure for ALS and with that said, I can not give up!I want to fight for all the Larry's. God gave this disease for a reason an I may not know why it is but I will embrace it with the dignity as Larry showed, I hope. God Keep You

  • I love you to Larry! God is great!

  • man i havent cried in a long time but this really made me cry. my uncle died of als four years ago. i miss him.

ur one of the strongest people ive seen. rest in peace.

  • wow, what an amazing, courageous person. Those are words of wisdom we can all learn from

  • He died 2 weeks after this video

  • I was friends with Larry for 30 years. He did not want your pity. When he talks about regret. He is talking about mistakes that he made before he got sick. Trust me, he made up for those mistakes and he died with the admiration and love of his friends and family.

If you truely have touched lives and made a positive impact, then I applaud you. This was not one of them. Larry died not long after this video so please show some respect.

  • One of my close family members died just this morning from this horrible disease. He never complained and always had the best attitude. Even on Tuesday he was saying the same things that this man talked about.

Great if you've really touched so many...with the attitude that you have now, however, it's really hard to believe.

  • Why would God do this to anyone?

  • Larry to Larry..You are right on my namesake friend

  • my teacher knew him.and he told me about this and it touch my heart im in tears

  • @edahpoo who is your teacher? by the why im jason damerval and this is my dad

  • I am in tears! My mother was is in the final stages of ALS & I know how horrible this disease is! What a wonderful man he was. He is free. He is walking beside God now. His family will be in my prayers!

  • Larry, you are in our thoughts and prayers. We know you are not hurting anymore. The love you left behind will continue to keep your family, and everyone else who loves you, alive and well.

    Rest In Peace

  • I am fortunate to call Larry and his family dear friends. They need your prayers today.

  • Larry has been my friend for around 30 years.

I love you Larry. God Bless You.

  • wow. i honestly don't know what to say.. my pastor was just talking about if you had 10 days to live, what would you do? it made me realize that everyone's time is limited, whether we know when it's going to end or not. i've been trying to mold my life around that concept, this helped me a lot. GOD BLESS!! //tay.

  • Thanks for sharing with us Larry! I forwarded this onto the TSML. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers! Keep fighting the good fight!
