@tency01 Most shower filters are a combination. This seems to be the best choice.

You can have shower filters installed behind the walls during a bathroom renovation so you don't have to see the filters.

@Chris9017 True, but it's significantly more complicated requiring an access panel to get at the filter for replacement.

@aquamanwisdom That is true. Every year, at my parent's vacation house, the contractor has to crawl through a tight space to fix the jet bath tubs for faults, and replace the plumbing line filters to the tub, sinks, and showers.

I know it will remove Chlorine but will it remove monochlorimine which most of us have now because of the new water standards. thanks

Showerfilters are great,but many people forget to change them.This is very important because chlorine levels often spike over the filter`s lifespan and it doesnt take long for a filter to become "spent".If it says six months,replace it at six months without delay.The most economical filter is a "sprite" type filter which removes primarily chlorine via catalytic conversion.
