Hold up, Hold up, Yo ready or not kid, they gon' move on us and we gotta get prepared, we gotta get the forces together man, we gotta get our family together, ready or not man, ready or not they gon' move on us, so I tell you what, better safe than sorry, let's be ready..
nicki minaj, lil kim aint got nutting on Lauryn..pure power said with meaning..This is the music you need to allow you to influence your life...real artist are not materialistic and idealistic : MJ, Marley, Lauryn, Tupac
shes more like the best female rapper of all time, one of the best rappers of all time, and one of the most talented artists period. Not many can compare to the lyricist she is as a rapper and the soul she has as a singer.
To one of the greatest hip hop groups of all time, and to one of the greatest artists of all time - lauryn hill
Not only is this one of my favorite tracks on the album but I think it was one of Ms. Hills tightest verses. I never get tired of listening to her verse in this track. POWERFUL!
"I woke up this morning i was feelin kinda high, it was me Jesus Christ, and Haile Selassie I. Selassie said greets in the name of the most high, Jah Rastafari"
ive cried listening to this song, i was drunk and high on my way home from the beach one night and for some reason i got to thinkin about friends that passed away, and i don't cry either. dope track fu-gee-laaa
"You see I loved hard once, but the love wasn't returned I found out the man I'd die for he wasn't even concerned and time it turned he tried to burn me like a perm
though my eyes saw the deception my heart wouldn't let me learn
from umm, some, dumb woman, was I,
And everytime he'd lie, he would cry and inside I'd die. "
I love all their verses. Lauryn is probably in my top 5 artist of all time in any genre. This verse was powerful. There are plenty of great female rappers still making music who(mostly) don't get the exposure they deserve because they don't sale their bodies to do so. Examples: Lauryn Hill, Jean Grae, Shystie(If I spelled her name right.lol), Rah Digga, Apani, Lady Sovereign, Missy Elliot, Mae Day, and the list goes on. If you haven't been up on these lady's music get on it!lol
Dayum! Dunno about the rest of the ya'll but everytime I listened to the Fugees I never could wait to hear Lauryn's verse. It's like hurry Wy and Praz. Lauryn's up, turn it up. I wanna hear every word...lol. She's one of the best female lyricists I've heard as long as I've been listening to Hip Hop.
this album is a classic every track was tight but like they good things come to an end as much as we wanna see the fugees reunite it just wont be the same
Pras was/is actually a decent rapper. Far better than Wycleff.

Agreed with below. Lauryn Hill = best female rapper ever, most soul. One of the best rappers period. By far the best rapper/singer combination.
This woman is great. All of the Fugees are great.
