@Oladale13 The throttle is the left stick in the up/down direction. That channel is usually a ratchet style, not sprung in a 4 channel radio. It remains in place instead of returning to neutral when you realize the stick, because that would typically be a throttle control for an airplane or helicopter. I had to open up the radio and stole the spring from the right stick to put it in the left stick. Hope that makes sense.
I want to build a similar clod buster. What chassis can I use, other than that sassy chassis you used ? I don't find it anywhere to buy and I think it would be very expensive because it is vintage.
@thedoginthewok You would have to keep your eye out on ebay to get the Sassy Chassis. Most of the other clod chassis out there seem to be more for r/c crawling. You can try these guys called Crawford Performance Engineering. Their parts look pretty good.
Yes. I made alot of changes to it. It has a Victor 883 robot speed controller. It runs on 10 cells (12 volts)instead of the standard 6 cells. The battery is mounted towards the rear of the vehicle. The steering has 2 servos instead of 1 so that I could have the independent 4WS. I had a custom build servo mounts for the 2 servos.
@MetalDrummer503 Yes that is an Futaba Attack 4, modified to have spring tension on the left stick for throttle. The radio comes with that stick unsprung for airplane use.
Please answer ! Im new to the clodbuster and i dont know how to get independent 4ws. it only comes with one servo for the steering. do you need one or two servos to get independent 4ws ?
They are cheap $6 dollar motors called "Small Johnson Motors". Equivalent to the Traxxas Titan 550 motors. If you google "robot johnson motors", the first link should take you to it on a site called Robot Marketplace.
GREAT job may I ask you how you deal with the transmission part which it's number is B part of chasis 005294 please let me know coz it break quite often on my bullhead Tks
I'm guessing you are talking about part 11 on Tree B; the little L-shaped tab that connects the gearbox to the colored flexible ladder arm stabilizer. That is a common piece that breaks. The way to fix it is to find an aluminum replacement. Sassy Chassis used to make one, but that was many years ago. Or you can custom make your own replacement. Happy Racing!
And how did you set up the throttle?

@MetalDrummer503 You need 2 servos to get independent 4WS. You would also have to modify the clod to be able to fit the 2 servos in there.

I rarely am into modifying classic Tamiya RC cars, but must admit your Sassy Clod looks (and works) oh, sooo good!
