  • I like the song too, and I especially like the sound you have your guitar dialed in to.

  • thank you good lesson.

    i think i got it.

i play with capo at 2nd fret and it matched perfect.

  • i think it would be better to zoom in on the fingers then the full body shot.

  • `help me for the intro.....i can't get it

  • dont take this to offence but i when i clicked this i thought the singing would have been bad but you have a very nice voice how long have you been singing???

  • superb big man keep up the good work :D

  • i cant get it after the intro.

i dont understand which notes you're playing when we walk down. cause obviously you dont play all of them.

anyway this si really good anyway.

  • @explodingmoons

I think when he walks down after the G you move to the 2nd fret of the sixth string and pluck this string followed by the melody pattern ( i.e string 3 then 1 then 2 ). Then you form an Em chord playing the sixth string open followed by the 3 1 2 pattern.

In the verses starting Em the pluck pattern starts the same but has 4 extra notes i.e. Bass note (6 or 5) 312 (as before) followed by 3212. This might not be perfect but sounds pretty close. cheers

  • @kingshearer2 ah thanks. haha an answer from someone 7 months later! but that's cool. i still want to learn to play this song. thanks again.

  • thanks for teach us such beautiful songs

I hope you continues uploading more beatles lessons.

    thanks

  • thanks dude! nice playing!

  • absolutely fantastic

  • Mr goldhat,

Been playing for a couple months. Love this tune, love your version, but confused.

After the walkdown - during the Em chord/picking, if you are picking 6-3-1-2, then what does Em have to do with anything if you're not strumming them? They are on the 4th and 5th strings?

    Thanks

  • Good question. Actually, the EM 5 and 4 is not played during the pattern, but it is good to finger it anyway in case you make a little strum or miss with your fingerpicking.

  • Wonderful lesson! Thank you! I'm too much of a beginner to do this right, but you've got me inspired!

  • no he just plays in a differetnt key

  • The song is in "A"; did George and/or John capo this, or play it differently??

    Much obliged, Christian

  • Another great video lesson from you. Really, you rock dude!

  • Thanks so much for this beautiful rendition of one of my favorite Beatle songs. After viewing several times, it appears the Em picking pattern in the closing changes to 6-3-2-3-1-2-3-2 Is this correct? Thanks!

  • yes, good eye mate.

  • dang i wish i could play like you and nice voice to

  • Thanks, man. I've watched many of your lessons and have enjoyed them all. Learned 3 songs solely from watching your lessons - so thank you and please keep up the good work. BTW, love the guitar too. I just got an ebony epi sheri II as a gift from my wife and daughter and now i'm gonna go learn this song on it.

  • I love this Sheraton II guitar, just got it for my birthday. All the old Beatle songs are just jumping out of it practically all on their own.

  • your too modest!!

  • THANK YOU SIFU

  • Thank you Mark, you have been very helpful. Cheers Carl.

  • Well done! I'm a big fan. You're like the Burl Ives of You Tube.

  • Hey, that's a first! Hmmm..., yeah Burl Ives was pretty cool on those Rudolph the Red Nose Raindeer specials.

  • Thanks Mark great lesson as always.Love the guitar.I think I will go down to Guitar center and try one.Hey,I have a birthday coming up soon

    NKenny

  • Yep, it's always good to get what you want for your birthday. Like I told my wife, it's cheaper than collecting corvettes.

  • just another great Lennon/McCartney tune

people just do not write like that anymore

to bad they broke up over dumbness on ones self pride

thanks for the lesson on the song

  • I love this song, and I love the way you play it. Excellent job...I will definitely be watching this video again.

  • one of my favs, thanks

  • Awesome lesson! I'll be watching this vid again for sure.

    Great song, great lesson.

  • Wow, you sure watched it again all right!

  • Wicked guitar man, real Gibson or an Epi? Good lesson also.

  • That's my new epi Sheraton II, got it for my birthday. Same body style as the Casino and humbuckers like the 335, but I like the gold trim and looks of this one better.

  • Yeah, and the neck feels better to me than the Casino. I just played one at the Guitar Center and was blown away. It's a beautiful guitar and plays like butter!

  • Amen to that! I noticed the neck right away when I played it at Sam Ash, and that made me go for it.

  • Great song ^^
