Anyway, do you really think magazine reviews and prizes are worth anything in the automotive industry? well german competitor BMW is better in technique, but the design of Jaguar is legendary and unbeatable - I would always prefer Jaguar with its classy looks to BMW boring looks, no matter whether BMW brought in Italian designers to push up the looks of its cars!

it's hard to simultaneously hold on to heritage and keep up with an auto industry that does most of its designing with gas mileage and minimal drag in mind (almost all of it is done by computer now). I think Jaguar is doing a great job walking the line.

Falkor78...Jag designers never very good...er...the C type, D Type, E Type, XJ13 XJS (at the time the lowest drag of any production car) and the XJ saloon, the XK8...in the industry most car companies would kill for Jag's heritage, now if u dont like it thats fine...but then dont bother looking at these pages

u are quite entitled to ur opinion Falkor. I just thought ur comment 'Jag designers was never very good' was a bit daft baring in mind Jaguar dominated Le Mans in the 50s, were using aircraft technology in their design when noone else was, and the XKSS, Steve McQueen famously had one, is one of the worlds prized cars along with the iconic E type...cars are all about history Porsche, Ferrari and Jaguar etc. As for the new jag at least wait till u see one in the flesh
