I agree. I know a lot of people who have been on the RTE radar to get work on, and RTE seem embarrassed about the reality of how most young Irish males outside Dublin live! RTE programme commissioners prove the insecurity of the Irish psyche isnt gone yet it seems. Hardy Bucks is brilliant. The tone of voice is perfect: sympathetic to the insanity and all pervasive shittiness of the small town/rural Irish life, but also taking the holy piss! They absolutely nailed it.
