Also, Wuhrer's a crap actress and only has one thing going for her. Take a wild guess what that is...

u know something i just noticed. the professor was really like the hero of the show and prob the smartest. quinn was majorly smart too especially when it came to sliding and wormholes but they really started making quinn more smarter once the prof. died. the reason i think so is cuz in the 1st 3 season, the prof was saving everyone. he saved that planet from the plague, he saved that one world from a astroid, he saved that robot, delivered the crying man's baby, and so many other things

The guy who played the professor was actually fired by fox executive and did not leave of his own accord. The official explaination given at the time was he was kicked so they could bring in younger/sexier people to the group fox directors fearing that the show had too much of a "familey" feel and wanting it to appeal to more young adults to boost ratings. My... how it failed, personally i loved the professors character and think the show lost something when he was written out.

@thebuckrogers22 then in rules of the game, arturo goes blind for a while. and he tells quinn to go on without him cuz what is the point in sliding to other worlds if u cant see them. the real one didnt care about going to new worlds anymore after the 1st 4 eps or so. cuz he was sick of it. plus remember in post traumatic slide, wade was in the office of the bad arturo and she was like i never knew he wore bifocals which was another hint from him going blind due to the flash.

After Rickman went into the vortex, she tells Quinn that she loves him and the two make their passionate kiss before she dies while Arturo, Remmy and that kid watch. Quinn then makes a promise that he will avenge her. Now that is what I call drama! What do all of you think?

Instead of killing him they should have sent him home, wade aswell. Quinn had a timer with that ability, dont kill off a character if you have a better solution right in front of your face. Season 1-4 was amazing, at first i didn't wanna watch series 4 with arturo not there but after the second time of watching i still enjoyed it, years ago i used to watch them on the SCIFI channel everyday but after awhile they took it of. Atleast 8 years ago. But i must say i have collected loads of sliders merchandise. I have sliders comics, trading cards, series 1-4 i have Promo photos and i even have The Egyptian Timer Replica wich was amazingly built. Ive been watching it for atleast 10 years

Fucking disgrace. I really feel sorry for the original cast and crew especialy Tracy Torme and John Rhys-Davies. David Peckinpah was a talentless wanker who treated the show and everyone involved like shit. Which is what it inevitably became.

Trust me if your watching the show from the start don't watch series 3, 4 or 5. Just pretend they don't exist. They were made by a completely different creative team and staring a completely different cast.

I remember watching sliders years ago with my grandad , the good years . About 2 months ago i remembered the series and decided to buy them again to watch them. The first season has some amazing episodes in and i enjoyed everyone , im gunna buy season 2 soon and 3 to see if i can remember them , i miss this show and the original cast , it's ashame they took it and destroyed the cast and made the episodes crap.

In the 2009 interview Tracy Torme pretty much tells everyone that it's the Alternate Arturo who dies here. The original missed the slide back in "Post-Traumatic Slide Syndrome", and is presumably still on that world (not the worst place, really).

Tracey Torme, creator of Sliders, decided that it was the Alternate Arturo that slid. He's currently working on new Sliders scripts, hoping he can pitch them. Unfortunately, reviving a TV show is difficult, even for the creator of the series.

Also, even without hearing it from the horses mouth, there were a couple of clues in some episodes that confirm this. (Even if they were writing errors.)

In case you're curious, an example of one of the clues that the wrong one slid, is in the episode where they slid into a place that was like their world, but the past. The professor had stated that he's never been to a football game, and later on, shows no knowledge of how football works.

However, in one of the very first episodes, the professor clearly states that he's familiar with football.

Aside from this, the professor is always wanting to be left behind, or wants to die, prob from guilt.

In an episode where they are in a very similar world (except for the Golden Gate which is blue and some other details), their is another Arthuro who doesn't mind football. And at the end of this Episode, the two Arthuros fight each other and we don't know which one slide with the other.

Well, I thought it was a very emotional scene. "Get them home" being his last words seems appropriate. However, apparently behind the scenes there was some angst with John with the writers... That's why he came down with:

-A Terminal Disease

-Was put into a half-assed coma.

-Was shot.

And to top it all off. They didn't bring his body with him to bury him. They just left his fat ass to rot on the alternate earth until:

-The earth he was on was vaporized.

Every other time they had someone shooting a bullet at a vortex earlier on in the series, the bullet would always get sucked back into the vortex. Whoever edited this scene probably thought it would be hilarious to make it seem like the bullet wouldn't hit the professor.
