  • I believe she has a bright future ahead of her.

  • 27 people haven't made it over the rainbow.

  • she is a one of 2% of the world whit green eyes. great voice.

  • I seen her play bell in Beauty and the beast :D!

  • Good but not stunning. A little thin sounding in places.

  • Her voice is absolutely breath-taking. Such a great version of this iconic song!

  • 1:06-1:43....is magical, but the rest is sub-par, sorry to say. But I am very impressed with her live version on the royal variety performance! Both of these are a good time capsule at the start of her career. I'm looking forward to hearing her great voice in future shows.

  • Amazing!

  • she's the best dorothy. absolutely love her voice.

  • she is just amazing, a well earned dorothy

  • snowhite.

  • Where can i find this lyrics? Cause I need this for audition. All the other lyrics are for other versions

  • @shortiewon go on google an search danielle hope over the rainbow lyrics

  • @shortiewon If you want an instrumental, look up "Somewhere over the rainbow radio version instrumental" on youtube

  • She is so good at this part, it's a shame the actual show was a sugar-coated monstrosity. If only the show had been more serious about itself. This girl deserved much more than that simple show.

  • Sexy

  • i think its amazing .. . . the interpretation of the song and characters differ from each actresses . . . i`ve seen the original version(of course) , , , , and i thought the emotion im looking for listening from to that song`s lyrics is not there . . . and when i`ve watched this . . . i thought she really did a better job

  • She sings like a Disney princess!!!

  • 7 days to go till i see the wizard of oz live :)

  • i love her

  • Pretty :D

  • always reminds me a lot of dinsey's voices

  • Shame shes from manchester

  • im auditioning for the wizard of oz and ive been practising this song for over 7 months she inspired me to really practice and go for your dreams and i really hope i get the part

  • she has a great voice she can be proud!! very proud

  • This is the definition of dreams coming true

  • I just went to see your Wizard of Oz show in the London Palladium and it was awesome. Loved the singing! I'm glad I went. :)

  • HOLY GOD IN ABOVE. Cute, British, and a voice that shatters glass. People never stop amazing me. Talent is found inside everyone somewhere.

  • I LOVE DANIELLE- I supported her right from the beginning and her personality reminds me exactly of my own and I wanted to cry when I saw this wideo, and saw how shocked and happy she looked when she won- Go Danielle( she is the only person I have ever supported in a competition right from first ever seeing them, through to the end, NO MATTER WHAT!!!

  • Definitely had this on repeat today.

  • This brought tears to my eyes, mainly because i really want to make it how she has, well done to her!

  • Could anyone possibly put on/give to me the backing track (without her voice) for this performance? I DESPERATELY NEED IT and would whole-heartedly be grateful for someone to do this. thank you everyone so much! :) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Crazy I loved it

  • I still get goosebumps!

  • 25 people need to get a life or fix their hearing.

  • I love this! i got the part of dorothy in the wizard of oz and Im deffinetely going to sing it like this! :)

  • WOW absolutely amazing. So stupid how Lady no talent gaga gets the spotlight this woman deserves. What class.

People watch the " Secret of OZ" and get your mind blown.

  • My God, that voice.

It's the kind that you listen to when the day's just crappy. Makes you feel better just listening to her.

Bless you, Ms. Danielle, and your amazing talent.

  • Wow. She sounds like a Disney princess! This brought tears to my eyes.

  • WOW!!!!! I guess I know how many people felt when they first heard Michael Crawford sing in Phantom.......they're both damn good!!!!!

  • @MissCuriousXxX true! very true! and by next year or something no one will know who she is!

  • Oh yes! Do it for the Mancunians! lol

  • God Bless Your musical efforts Sis'

     All the best, Terence Hope

  • She has a lovely voice! A million stars! I love the sweetness

  • she's beautiful

  • i love her

  • i think she has done really well for herself

  • *****

  • She sounds just like mulan and princess jasmine and she has the same name as me!

  • effortlessly beautiful

  • UaU!!! *o*

  • CHE VOCE!

  • Does she sing the full thing on stage? I heard she doesn't but I also don't live in England lol

  • She would be an acceptable replacement for Jodi Benson!

  • @DustinHahnMusic I think she could play Ariel! :D...

  • Well someones had some training.... LOVE you Danielle <3

  • Though she isn't impersonating Judy Garland,

l prefer Judy Garland, look forward to,

Where is our heart-touching composer today?

  • Omg she is not singin! Im n shock:o!!! She sounds soo perfect, i wish i sang like her!

  • autotune :(

  • @kevinm4435 People can actually sing well without it, you know. Clear voices still exist.

I think she sounds like a member of Celtic Woman, and they sing beautifully without digital enhancement.

  • she's amazing live! i saw her last weekend at the london palladium! :)

  • Remember people, she's not impersonating Judy Garland.

She's capturing the essence of the character of Dorothy.

Just listen and let her carry you away...........

  • Wow, this is almost as good as the Judy Garland version!

  • @inufan330 no afraid not, it will never be. it is a new version and a fantastic one but it will never be better. garland created it and it will always be her song.

  • She sounds too shrill. I dont think they should have up-ed the key.

  • I think Judy would approve :)

  • now she is a little dorothy, wow, i bet judy garland would be proud of how much effort was put into this, judy garland, you spectacular woman!

  • Oh gosh I was crying through that. She just fit the role of Dorothy so prefectly! She is like a role model to me now!

  • she's amazing!

  • I saw her last night! What a fantastic show and she plays the roll so perfectly! <3

  • I saw The Wizard of Oz last week and it was truly amazing :)

  • Wow! Hi Danielle, I just saw your video while looking at my daughter's and it brought tears to my eyes. Maybe someday she will have the experiences that you had, which is her dream. If you get a chance, check out her video to and give her a little hope for her future. Thanks. Look up over the rainbow brittany.

  • love the song and i cant wait 2 see u at the london palladium in 3 days !!!!

  • I've always wanted this song to have a verse at the beginning!

  • @daveedo10 This song has always had a verse , it was just not sung in the movie :)

  • I don't have anyone for valentine's day so Danielle can be my valentine, "Happy valentine's day Danielle wherever you are now, love from Richard xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, p.s You would really suit me".

  • I just don't get why Andrew Lloyd Weber wants to do this. She has a beautiful voice but no one can touch Judy Garland. I guess I have seen the movie too many times and it puzzles me why he would want to redo this as a musical for the stage.

  • she'd be a better Belle in beauty and the beast,

  • Hopefully they put this song at the end of the show, rather the beginning. It would be so much better as a finale song to sing. The movie had it placed perfectly, but now people are belting the song out... So I think it belongs at the end of the show.

  • @thewzrdofoz It wouldn't make a whole lot of sense at the end but as an ensemble performance at the end perhaps. The premise of the song is Dorothy longing for something besides home.... the point of the story is finding that, "There's no place like home..." the song itself contradicts that in some ways as she's singing about finding her dreams somewhere else. But as an ensemble performance at the end much like they did with Joseph... yeah that would be a great ending.

  • When you say Dan, you reminded me of Daniel Radcliffe... When you say Danny, you reminded me of Danielle Hope...

  • it's amazing how someone who lives just down the road from me ends up on a broadway show with an amazing voice... it makes me realise just how mostly anything is possible( : and you can reach your dreams, if you really want to ♥

  • I love how different this is from any other version I've seen of her singing this.

I was expecting her to be doing it like she did on the show, but it's just Danielle singing, not Dorothy and if she can sing it so amazingly as Danielle only, I can't wait to see her as Dorothy.

  • She sing so nice

  • I wish America would do a show like this! I've followed this show since it began, and I'm so glad Danielle won! Now, if America would do something similar for Mary Poppins, I'd go for it!

  • try again

  • for mummia

  • Beautiful voice! It's sweet and angelic.

  • Me aged 15 singing ' I'd give my life for you' ..please let me know what you think

  • She's amazing :)

  • how old is she?

  • @huntingforyoualways 18 =) She's a week and a half older than me, it's insane...

  • Im so lucky i go to the same scool with her! I once met her in our libary and i was like: OMG! and then she opened the door for me and i felt so damn pleased....i nearly fanted

  • She's just phenomanal.

  • She sounds beautiful but my problem is she lacks the character essence of Judy Garlands version of the song, which is fine if she's not trying to be like her. She's actually very confident in the song, but when Judy sang it she seemed very unsure and innocent and I think she needs to bring that aspect to the song to be successful.

  • @Nmubunny thats cause shes not Judy Garland, she's Danielle Hope. its her own character! you should never use someone elses character. your character is you! not Judy Garland, Bernadette Peters or Ethal Merman. you!

  • @Nmubunny if you can find a clip of her singing it on stage in "Wizard" you should try because she does it soooo different and it has more of what you talking about :)

  • wonderful!!

  • She looks way more age appropriate for Dorothy. Judy always looked like a full grown woman to me. Not to say she wasn't brilliant, but I always thought Dorothy was supposed to be a little girl.

  • danielle is the perfect winner for this!! this is just so lovely to listen to and watch, obviously nothing will beat judy garland but danielle is perfect for dorothy! :)

  • When i go see the show in the westend i hope i don't get tempted to run up on the stage to her, i just think she's beautiful, she takes my breath away <3 <3

  • Mega hottie with an awesome voice

  • glad she sang the great intro to the song

  • great song

  • so wonderful voice!!!!!

  • I think that she has a beautiful voice, but it's a little to "pop" for my taste. The same going for the orchestration; the guitar and synthesized instruments. Whoever let Andrew Lloyd Webber near this show should be ashamed of themselves.

  • love it

  • I love it. But Judy's version will always be the best.

  • Absolutely fantastic - perfect for the part of 'Dorothy Gale'.

  • She reminds me of Emmy Rossum... probably why Andre Lloyd Webber liked her. She's precious!

  • Too bright and cheery, definitely not up to par with my girl Judy but then again those are some big ruby red slippers to fill.

  • i personally think she looks better without all the glam.

  • @ninaianpaul I agree

  • me too...she has that star quality, and I think she'll have a great and long career from now on...I can see it...

  • Loves It, She's Too Adorable + Lovely! I Proudly Have This On CD Single :-) It'll Be A Collector's Item Some Day!

  • Just been to see Danielle sing Over The Rainbow at the London Palladium as part of the weekend Wogan show. She seemed a little nervous but she sang it in a very touching and gentle way.

I think she is perfect for the part of Dorothy.

Who after all is supposed to be a wistful young orphan girl!

If you're going to see her next year i would take some extra kleenex tissues with you!

  • I love her voice but I am not sure if the Wizard of Oz is the right role for her - I think it may be a bit limiting unless it is done properly. I think she should have done a tour on her own I am sure it would have been a sell out and it would have given her the opportunity to show off her whole vocal range. My fav song was "when you believe"

  • hello

  • u do that song brilliantly ;)

  • Her voice is soo much better now :) Guess they've been working with her on her tone and such. she ws the best actress.

  • Best in the competition by a mile. I LOVE her voice!!!!!

  • wow, she has such a beautiful clear voice, love it! <3

  • Love her so much

  • she is fantastic. i was rooting for her from the beginning!

  • omg i love this song so much

  • better than lauren samuel's version i think.

  • Excellent!!!

  • Think its sweet tbh (;

  • Guys, if you love this check out Mambo Italiano, the song which turned Dan into a star. Dan is Dot and mambo mafia lives forever. Love this girl!

  • @jonnyfontane1 after reading a comment on the Danielle Hope forum run by Snoopmk i've just realised ur Lucabrasi . i'm roses_chocolate on the forum btw & i Love Mambo italiano as well as this. Danielle is truly a star performer! i love her tone of voice, its soo beautiful!

  • @jonnyfontane1 Dan..as in Daniel Radcliffe or Danielle Hope? Which one? I'm confused... XD LOL

  • @jamescrispy94 y bother with a pointless comment about going 2 c sophie. when this is video is about Danielle and NOT Sophie.

  • Brilliant!!

  • is it me or does she sound like a disney princess (her singing voice, i mean) her voice sounds so sweet and pretty!

  • The only version I've ever heard that comes anywhere close to Judy's. And believe me, I've heard LOTS of renditions.

  • Where can I get the lyrics of this song and the origanl. This is not the lyrics Judy Garland sang.

  • I love how minimal she kept the song, don't get me wrong with the word 'minimal', I mean that I love how she didn't belt any of the notes...it makes the song loses its intimacy

  • glad she won she has a brilliant voice well done xxxx

  • shivers

  • 这个大美女,好想肛交这个美女

  • Wow. That was beautiful!

  • I absolutely love Danielle, she was my favourite from the start. She has an amazing voice and a real presence. Plus she looks fab in the dress from this video!!

  • Pure "West End" Voice

  • Fantastic performance with video to match. I love this girl. Dan is Dot and mambo mafia lives forever.

  • Fantastic performance and a video to match. I love this girl. Dan is Dot.

  • Aww love her. Fair play. Xx

  • I got mega goosebumps !!

  • She can be on glee! (against rachel) ;)

  • aw she is amazing <3

  • Am I the only one who think she is too perfect.. bit like robot?..... what can I say.. she is good but I can't feel any emotion in the song. I felt like that all along when she was in the TV live show...

  • @lewhite100 can't feel any emotion? omg can't believe i'm hearing that, when imho she was the best actress of the comp by far and put the most varied emotions into her songs, not singing songs using generalised emotions like imo most of the other dorothies did or pop singers do. she acted the emotions in the song line by line, which 2 me how musical theatre is done.

  • Danielle is amazing. Anyone that thinks she is not must have a screw loose. It was amazing seeing her in school before we broke up. And she is such an amazing person. She deserves everything she has tried for.

Also she is a great insperation to us all, even though now she has got her life mapped out for her, she still went back to school after the competition, and finished her 'A' Levels. Just incase.

    What an insperation!

    Well done Danielle! XX

  • wow, such talent.

But she looks like she has been made to look older in the black background shots... I think she's cuter when she's less made up.

But what a performer. Well done in winning the comp too. The competition she was up against were not have bad.

  • she so really good and has made made Manchester proud! you go girl!!!

  • She's very genuine and they haven't made her up too much in the video.

  • I am sooo glad Danielle won Dorothy!! : )

She has the best voice and signs this song beautifully - wishing her every success in OZ and beyond, a very talented girl deserves all that's coming her way!!

Most of the other Dorothys were awful... glad Andrew's finished with these shows as it would be hard to top Danielle now anyway.

  • My favourite right from the beginning, very glad she won. Can't wait to see the show next year!

  • Absolutely beautiful voice

  • I'm happy she's not trying to sing like our beloved Judy.

She's being herself and that's fine.

    Well done.

    Good choice.

  • sophie should of won

  • I was hoping for a modern version of the song.

  • Wow. i doubted her performance on the OTR final but that was awesome. glad she proved me wrong x

  • seeeee,us urmston people can be cool 8)

  • to be honest i think there was better people in the show than her, x

  • @songbird1030 hmm i suppose, but i'd say she'd be the best Dorothy out of all of them. i think she's the best actress out of all the girls too.

  • absolutely stunning, both voice and looks. a worthy winner

  • wow!!!! x

  • amazing babe

  • i miss over the rainbow that was good tv

  • Danielle Manchester Is Behind You On Every Step You Take Into Stardom

    So Is Your Family

You Have A Really Special Talent

  • beautiful diction

  • I can't believe she's only 18!
