Actually, this is a medley of "After You've Gone" and "Some of These Days" - brilliantly mixed together. I have this medley on a CD and was thrilled to find it because I had always thought that there should BE a medley because the songs are so similar. - Wylde from OceanTownPictures
@yoryi1960@yoryi1960 Actually, it's both of the songs: It's a medley combining After You've Gone and Some of These Days. She recorded it on the "For Once In My Life" album. It's funny on the LP version, because on the LP version she sings "you'll miss the crying-est wetback that you ever had." Times sure have changed....
@scryabin You took the thoughts right out of my mind! Vikki did a 1976 concert in Alberta Canada & she did a tribute to Judy. It was the best I ever seen because she didnt copy Judy or her style. Vikki had tears in her eyes when she started Over The Rainbow. Alot of singers try to "be" Judy Garland when they sing Judy's songs.Vikki did it with class. Katie Homes tried "Get Happy" & she copied Garland's act & in the end made her look cheesey. Have u ever seen Vikki perform? I'd love to one day
No, I haven't heard her sing live ever, I know I heard her voice on the radio when I was a young child but didn't know who it was. Her voice seemed to mature in the 70's to an unmistakable originality...(e.g. "Look of Love" with Burt Bacharach)
anyone know where i could get a lead sheet of dis????

Vikki shows some Judy Garland influence in her voice here(vibrato especially). Nicely done.
