nein das ist kein besonders guter film...mein opa war an einer napola...(er war KEIN nazi) und er meinte der film entspricht nicht wirklich den tatsachen und es wurde falsch dargestellt... er meinte natürlich war das crass mit dem hitler und ihnen wurde schon gesagt das die russen dumm sind und so aber es war keine schule um junge menschen zu nazis zu erziehen und so wird es im film dargestellt es war eine normale schule wie jede andere nur für hochintelligente...ich mag den film trodzdem :P ...

Yeah.. I'm not sure flat out "gay" is the word but European films DO tend to push the envelope with homoerotic images. I don't believe there's anything more than friendship going on here but the homoerotic subcurrent is obvious. If you've ever read "All Quiet On The Western Front," even in literature then there were clear homoerotic undercurrents.
i just saw the movie (it was great!), and i must say that many of the boys/men look kinda gay in some scenes...i don't know IF they really do or if it's just me.
I can't wait to watch this...I love German films!
