Good combination! I'm a big fan of both. Of course, you can also achieve some really nice composites using 3ds Max alone. One of the other videos on my channel (Reflective Orb) was composited entirely within 3ds Max. I just made the background an image sequence. Saves having to use AE later on!
Glad you liked it, schablone. I'm working on some better clips at the moment using 3ds Max and After Effects. For this one, I just used Battlefield 2, Fraps and Adobe After Effects 7.0 for the compositing.
Thanks, I appreciate the encouragement. I'll definitely be doing more. I've started learning 3ds Max so that I can use far more realistic 3D models, better lighting, more precise animation, etc.
Thanks, Blobs! I'll definitely do more. Maybe some UFOs next? I'm a bit disappointed about the extent of the compression on YouTube, though. The original file looked significantly better; it was smooth, crystal clear and the motion blur looked great.

I actually thought it was real- and If I do remember correctly a pair of F16s flew by my house almost as low after 9/11
(I used to live near Wright Patterson airforce base)
