  • Lowell George was a tremendous songwriter and vocalist, as well as one of the finest slide guitar players ever. May he R.I.P.

  • Miss Lowell as much today as ever, still gives me chills, RIP Ritchie and Lowell

  • Just ultimate. About as low and laid-back as you can get. Spulful song performed by a true legend. RIP Lowell.

  • I love the record verion but this for me is even better, wow, raw, earthy and so laid back it's untrue. What feel they have. 10/10.

  • Does anyone have any idea WHERE this video came from? I would LOVE to see the rest of it - and it's obvious there is more footage from this session --- MAN! Would it be NICE to see the rest!

  • Wow! Don't TELL me that Lowell has no soul!

  • I first heard this song back in 1998. I like Little Feat, heard of a few of their songs. This song really had meaning.

  • I first heard this song 30 years ago, and it still has the same effect on me. I've driven many lonely miles singing along to it. Lowell George and company seem to me to express the essence of loneliness and longing in this tune. RIP Lowell.

  • love this song, so beautiful

  • R.I.P. Richie Hayward. You are greatly missed.

  • If I go to heaven I hope I meet Lowell and Ritchi !!!

    RIP: Brothers !!!

  • crazy,Yorkshire pete

  • He must have been a huge influence on Inara's music. They're both so incredible

  • long gone by, never forgotten. Bless.

  • amazing song. just hits the spot. lowell has got that soul.

  • Absolutely gorgeous. But check out the drummer's black eye...

  • Always thought Lowell was an attractive man but without the beard and hair - wow! he was absolutely gorgeous. My God. Not detracting from the music, I've been a fan since the 70s..

  • always brings a smile and a recognition again of just how deep the loss of LG actually was.

  • if I could only turn back the hands of time, to save Jimi, Janis , jim, lowell and so many others,,our world is not the same.thx for posting

  • Lowell looks so good here. I guess we'll have to settle for...

  • i cried the day lowell died thank god we have this footage imagine what would have been had he lived that voice gives me chills

  • This song is originally by Joni Mitchell, can't seem to find it anywhere!any ideas

    ?

  • What?! Joni Mitchell?! Are you kidding? Lowell WROTE this song!

    Lowell...Lowell...come back.......

  • Yes. Accept that Joni Mitchell didn't write it. That will be the first step. Second, search for Little Feat albums.

  • yeh great song. try to guess the different drugs each musician is on , when they made this clip

  • Great comment!

  • I wish there were more videos of this phase of the phenomenon that was "Little Feat with Lowell". He was so awesome, so innovative, and the rest of the band so perfect to fit in with his funkiness.

  • Love for Little Feat is different than love for other bands.....not sure why that is, but it is.

  • @cavenaileg Could not agree more. Bob Harris, the host of 'The Old Grey Whistle Test' on BBC2 (UK TV) turned me onto Little Feat in the 70's and I have been a huge fan ever since. Lowell is so badly missed but you know what is magical, the rest of the band are still together and playing great music. I love this film. Looks like they had been recording all night AND spaced out of their nuts!! And still 'tight' and 'in the groove'. Beautiful. Enjoy!

  • actually i think it's Paul Barrere playing slide on that song

  • even pray to heaven above...all I get from her is Long Distance Love.....the best voice and slide ever...............

  • WOW. so wasted, and he still gets more feelin out of a song than anyone else i can think of ....

  • gaaaah i love this song! he's Great, its to bad his dead:(<3

  • what talent amazzing ballad little feat just had it all check out my channel for more

  • geez...genius..miss lowell

  • lowell is amazing. hell, this whole band was. too bad music like this isn't made today. RIP lowell.

  • Man ...... they dont make them like that no more ...... little feat rules

  • aaYY! let's all relax here...yo!!...well....Bob has asked me to tell you, in a reasonable way like, that he often really likes to step away from a threatening situation, if ya know what he means, and just, hey, cool things down a little here, in order that he might give this here band his undivided attention and, like, a good listening to, are ya with me..?

  • LOVE IT!

  • Great stuff!! Do she know made me laugh:-) Lowell is a legend.

  • what a fabulous and timeless track. and what a performance! and eh, all bandmembers look completely high...

    must be the music...

  • LG was the fuckin dude! How is it that a white guy could have so much soul? lol

  • Oh, we all got sould. Most of us just ignore it :p

  • right up there with all the greatest tunes ever written.

  • thank you ReKuSu. this clean-shaven lowell is the rarest

  • One of the very best bands ever. No one seems to know though.

  • awesome! what a song! little feat rock!

  • Stunning, brilliant. Pissed that I was born too late to make this my teen song. Lowell was amazing. I came to him through Robert Palmer, and I got to see Little Feat in Dublin just a couple of months ago.
