This movie is about how alienated we human being are from each other. We alienate ourselves with our religions, our cultures, our values, and our social norms. We alienate ourselves with oppression and institutions and we aren't even conscious of it. All because we're too proud to give ourselves up and be open. All because of our egos
This movie reminds me of the society we live in ; an individualistic society -> 'It is the sense of touch. I think we miss that touch so much that we crach into eachother just so we can feel something.'
omg i just saw this movie nd it moved me so much..from the very start i could relate to this movie and it made me cry at least 10 times...one of the greatest movies ever.
The most feeling parts are: when mamma is informed about the death of her "baby boy", and when Sandra Bullock hugged her maid after all the screems and bad treatments. :')
Ryan Phillippe kills Larenz Tate because he doesn't believe a black man could want to be a hockey goalie. We gotta lose these destructive stereotypes.
My favourite moment is where at the end where Ludacris says Dopy fuckin Chinamen, then realises the van he's driving was from the chinaman he accidentally ran over
There are so many good films, but this one in particular always stayed with me even though i've only seen it once, that says enough about this movie, you just won't forget it.
It appeals to everyone, it's storyline is perfectly written, the cast is magnificent, bottom line is if you haven't seen it yet...WATCH IT!
@goldsmithproductions the guy didnt make the trailer. its fine just the way it is with the titles and credits.you dont know what youre talking about. don't act like youre the all knowing trailer guru just so you can feel like youre mr. knowitall.
@zzanmato123 and ignorant.. i dont know if its media or bad experiences that makes you think like this.. but i for one see the world have changed alot the last hundred years.. racism is dieing just like cigrattes.. banned most places and doing its final rebel with this generation.. sure it will exist in the future generations but only in secret and almost never seen by the people who dont look for it.. ever heard the words "this too shall pass"? a eternal truth that nothing lives forever..
@Xirus5 Racist in secret? How is racism in secret any worse then racism in public? It's still racism... And btw, racism "in secret" is NOT the same as it "dying." So you're wrong...
The song, in part: "Now you're out there..."In The Deep" - very moving, as is the soundtrack video w/ her & clips of the film combined which can be found here. Look for Bird York & "In The Deep".
i dont think there was one aspect of this movie that needed to be improved. acting was phenomenal, it was so realistic, with the stereotypes and all that, and soundtrack was amazing
