Not to be a hater, because I think it's pretty cool...but I just want to know when the Gothic Fashion Committee (GFC) voted it was okay to wear bright, neon colors...instead of the traditional black...because I didn't get the memo. >.>
@vivisect1945 just look up cyber goth or industrial. we usually party outside at festivals or dance it up in clubs. check out some vids. oh and the most places for the clubs would be germany, russia, london i believe ummm im forgetting some places XD but im sure someone else can fill in my blank spots lol
They call themselves Cybergoths. And the dresses are pretty similar. The girls at 1:19, 1:22, 1:47 and 2:07 are typically dressed like the Goths in East-Europe.
Cyber is just as different from Gothic as the Death Metal. And they all part of the same subculture. But I agree, industrial music is very hardly liked by the metaller world, I also feel it kind of outsider culture... yet I love the girls :)
Cybergoth is a subculture derived from the goth subculture but following a different direction musically mainly and stylisticly slightly. Being originated from goth but not staying to original goth stereotype make some more rock- oriented gothic people to disgrace it and call it garbage while other gothic people have no problem with it. I like both goth and cybergoth.
@Cartoonhero1989 Following my previous comment.Stylisticly, I think that cybergoth have a more contemporary approach than other types of goth. Here the BDSM influences are more visible. Also, quite a difference make the extensive use of very intense colours. Also the oxygen masks(they are easy to find and not too expensive for good quality. I have many :). The hair are more extravagant with dreads most of the time. Finally, all that are generally known but I just want to mention them.
I love cybergoth. I wish I could dress more like that... I don't not because I'm "afraid" to be different XD I got over that a long time ago. But I just don't have the money. >:P I dress more victorian goth, just because that's what most of the clothes/accessories are. I love that too... XD
@quisnox: Maybe for many cyber don't got a visible background, maybe the most cyber don't even see it. That what is visible at cyber got actually a symbolism even thought you may not notice it in the first place. Cyber and goth somehow deal both with different concepts of the transience of the individual. Goths are more concerned with the transience of the individual, the occult, the spiritual and the mysthik.
Cyber deals with the transience of a entire populance, of a species and showing the rest of the world the fail of the human being. They show what happens when humanity doesn't change before the deep abyss. A species which ruined itself and the whole nature, the remnants living on a dead planet. The failed human being is living in a hostile environment in which morals, manners and culture died already long ago and everyone is closest to itself.
Awesome vid. I want the boots at 2:17 o_O Anyone know of any good places to buy this stuff? The popular places like Vampirefreaks, Hot Topic (ew) and Infectious Threads don't really have anything good.
I've read the other comments you wrote... Sorry but by mistake and I've delated your comment on the video of victorian goths...
However I just wanted to tell you that I've made this videos only to show the difference in dressing among the Goths... I know that victorian and romantic are just way to dress and that the ideology it's the same of the other Goths, but I just wanted to underline the difference of the look...
I've realized that I've made a mistake using the word Goth, because I meant Gothic. In Italy we don't make any difference between the two words, so sometimes I use them in the wrong way. Instead of saying "Goth" we say Deathrocker or Gothic old school...
So, now I can explain you better. Imagine a gothic person (not a goth) naked. He listen to gothic music and has a gothic ideology. He can decide to dress in different kind of ways, even cyber or steampunk, but still remaining a gothic...
Not to be a hater, because I think it's pretty cool...but I just want to know when the Gothic Fashion Committee (GFC) voted it was okay to wear bright, neon colors...instead of the traditional black...because I didn't get the memo. >.>

Cyber ==//== Gothic!
Cyber "culture" is not a part of Gothic in my opinion. Has almost nothing in common.

Cybergoth is NOT Goth. This is club/rave sub-style "with dark look".

Of course they are not the same thing, but look at it this way: you could say that they are "siblings" or rather "cousins".
Right?

No problem perfectly understandable.
Ah.
Thou as I said the "Cyber Goth" look is just that a look it has nothing to do with Goth.
