I really hope I'm not the only one who thinks that Resident Evil 5's version of Albert Wesker HAS to have been based on this movie. His combat style is similar, the sunglasses chucking is the same and the lifting someone by the neck and strangling them in mid air is the same too.

I've seen numerous movies try to capture that flavor of Hong Kong action, but this is one of the select few I've seen get it right. Wang, Dacascos, and Sakamoto actually get the right rhythm and mood. They don't cut everything to ribbons and actually allow for the moments of rhythm and anticipation between the fights.
