@kingofcourtz Not a thing that can be told via an email. Most of mouthpiece selection has to do with comfort and with what equipment you are playing. You are looking for a good match with the equipment and something that is comfortable, and allows you to play in the style you are seeking. Once you find this sort of mouthpiece, you can usually find the same size and profile made by several different makers, with different platings, or materials. (e.g.-I use a "Bach 12C" size, in stainless)
I play classical, and I have a Bach 6 1/2 a, but it just doesn't feel right. the tone is okay, but it's not what i'm looking for. I guess the degree of level is about right. ANything to suggest?

See my video on vibrato, and I will be doing more on both vibrato and phrasing, as well as on musicality in general.
Phrasing and much of musicality has to do with providing the listener with an experience similar to what they get when listening to a good speaker read poetry. Also it is similar to hearing a very gifted speaker deliver a speech.
I will discuss this in a subsequent video. Meanwhile it is good to listen to the Count Basie Orchestra to hear what jazz phrasing can sound like.

@kingofcourtz What model and size of horn? The 6 1/2 AL is the size I use on my Bach 42B, a .547 sized horn.
