  • When you got a mile of extension on the gun, its no wonder it wont come off lol. I guarantee I coulda got those off. Nice job otherwise though :)

  • Got a questioun what was that metal plate for the bolt that broke loose in the unibody I'm workin on my cherokee right now had the same problem and im wondering what i can do to fix it. On another not you got lucky with those shackle bolts i had to cut mine cause I got a trailor hitch mount that the bolts where hittin but if you can tell me about that plate I'd appreciate it.

  • Pretty sure the kid at 8:29 is the banjo player from the movie Deliverance.

  • nice

  • you guys suck we just did mine this evening and didnt get to use them fancy spring compressors so the front axle went everywhere... and i was in the mud without a big floor jack grrrr we did rear shackles i had to break out the 1 inch drive impact wrench which finally got the passenger spring shackle off. nice nut repair btw... drive jeep or stay home !!!

  • how many inches was that?

  • annnddddd SNAP shit.. get the drill.

  • where did you get the tire carrier?

  • I did not realize you were barely in highschool, i take back my last statement. Nice job!

  • Nice to see someone enjoying their jeep like they should...but also shows why I dont like to buy trucks that are already lifted especially by inexperienced people. At the same time experience starts somewhere! Right on man!

  • nice jeep. did you get drivline vibrations or do u have a sye or tcase drop kit?

  • lmao at 8:38."We got the first one in after pain and suffering"! lmao

  • did you get any 'death wobble'?

  • sometimes...i like to put a napkin over my dick and pretend its a ghost

  • a badass christmas gift!

  • i personally wouldve went with rough country lift

    but still nice video

  • Nice jeep, nice lift, have to agree use Jackstands more often... also spent way too much on Skyjacker Lift that won't last through moab!

  • Dude great video, I like that you documented the whole operation. I hope to be doing this to mine (Lol, I have to get a Cherokee first)

  • man great vid but mabye be a little bit safer lol

  • homejob, ytb (yeah the boys)

  • whats the last song that plays? junglelove maybe?

  • what year is this jeep? guarantee here in New Hampshire the floor pans wouldnt exist anymore

  • jack stands man be safe

  • wow, every 31" tire i see is so small, with ways, compared to mine. hahaha good vid tho. to bad u don't live in Idaho! haha

  • i was cringing the whole time bc it was only on 1 jack...use jack stands!!

  • Wow, what is with all the haters?! Good video man.

  • Looks great, and I like the music, Steve Miller is the best :D

  • Yeah, I wish my dad and I could have done stuff like that together too. My son and I both have Cherokees. I bought his already lifted but we lifted mine together. It was fun.

  • Was a good video, wish I would have been able to do a project with my Dad. Hope you are enjoying the Jeep

  • looks nice. whats the power like after the lift ?

  • i started at 3 went to 5 now i want 7 8

  • Thanks for putting it up on youtube! in a couple of days I'm also lifting my cherokee up. How big was you're lift? 2,5 til 3? because I diddn't see you where dropping youre transfer case

  • Sure as hell wouldn't have done this without jackstands! $20 could save your or your friends life! Professional custom car builder here. My guys could get fired for this! C ya!

  • is it me or is the guy who walks across the driveway wearing Uggs?

  • Do yourself a favor and cut up and throw that rear sway bar in a dumpster!!

  • Get rid of the fenders and she'll be looking real nice

  • how big was the lift? 3.5?

  • try some PB blaster next time, eats rust like a fat kid eats candy

  • Looks good now time for some D60's and some 40" swampers :D It is good to see how a father and son can work together. Unlike many of us who can not work in the same building let alone on the same truck.

  • who the hell tought him how to back up

  • it looks like you did nothing to it

  • First, you have an awesome dad that does that with ya. Second, why did you not put the add-a-leaf on the leaf springs you already had there? I used s-10 springs for the rear of mine and just left the main spring there. Mine was inverted when i did mine. I've had it on 2 jeeps and for about 6 years now.

    Oh, and NICE XJ!

  • Did you have to extend the rear brake line?

  • use some jackstands

  • 3inch is the perfect amount of lift. Anything over really isnt for highway use plus you have to get an SYE.

You going to get some disconnects for your sway bar?

  • @ivantheigor I ran a 4.5" RC lift down I95 @ 85mph for 60 miles every weekend for 6 months with no issues. I would've done it with an 8.5" lift and 38's. And you can just do a hack n tap with a front d/s. Its cheaper and takes a half hour to install? If anyone needs some longer brakelines I have some for sale brand new!!! haha hit me up on my channel!

  • dude sick song and i put a 3 inch lift on my 93 with 35 inch tires and i left a video response with mine

  • i had the same problem with my leafsprings with the front bolts.

  • thats why you make liquid wrench your friend,

  • Hey Cole Im Nick Jamison Braydens friend

Iv got a 1990 cherokee, not as pretty as yours but its wat i got, its mainly a college car

My wheelin vehicle is a 1983 toyota pickup

like to meet up and go muddin or wheelin w?u sometime

    Nick Jamison

  • nice rig, ill buy that tire carrier.

  • yall should see mine i have a vid of my camaro system the cvrs and i show you the jeep its a 96

  • Very nice, looking to get a 3-4in lift for my 95 Cherokee. JEEP ollllllo

  • why would anybody do that much work for a 1 inch lift ?????????????stupid as hell go 4 or 5 .

  • @rogerscottburchett1 thats not a one inch....Dude its because the tires are smaller its probably a 3inch. and dude when you do more than three inches alot more comes into play.

  • nice job - gonna be doing mine over the next week or so.. hope my leaf springs put up less of a fight.. but theyve been on there 12 years so im not looking forward to it!. Your jeep looks good.

  • so all you need is the two leaf springs and two springs and shocks huh how much did this lift your jeep need advice gonna do this to my jeep help

  • AAl was worthless after all the work you did to get the old springs off. should bought a whole new pack

  • im getting my cherokee tomorrow. i love these things

  • do u have to get any thing like a new drive shaft or anything with a 3 inch lift?

  • @jbm4551 no only at about 4'' or 4.5'' is when you need a sye and that good stuff

  • @jbm4551 no

  • sumtimes u jus aint got tha time 4 jackstands and u jus wanna GIT UR DONE good shit bro

  • very nice man. ive got 31s to but a good bit more lift. check out my vids, ill leave one in the video responses if you dont mind.

  • damn i put my 5" coils on without compressors. the manly way . haha

  • ur dads got some pritty sweet uggs ahahaha

  • Great video man! Thanks 4 taking the time to upload

  • Looks so much better lifted nice job. If you still have that rear sway bar connected you should go back and yank it out, it isn't doing anything.

  • Bro That Doesnt Even Look Like a Lift, That Was Like a 2 or 3 inch lift??

If Your Going To Lift It, At least Give It A 6 Inch Lift. Dam

  • what kind of lift is that and how tall

  • its the long extention take it off come in from the other side

n/m just needed a pull bar

  • its the long extention take it off come in from the other side

  • Should of just went to 6.5

  • wow that looks good. i just bought a jeep and want to put a lift on it. were did you get the lift kit from. and was it really hard to put on

  • a nascar pit crew could tires off faster in real time than you can in fast foward x2. hahah but cool jeep, just need fatter tires

  • jesus man this jeep has come a long ass way....youve been in and out of every nut and bolt just about. nice job so far though, much enjoy all of your vids! :-P keep on jeepin'

  • look of should have went with the 6 inch tho all the work for 1 1/2 inch kit

  • @DrewUSMC1 3 inch lift.

  • i wonder if all these people watched 30 seconds of the video, said USE FUCKING JACKSTANDS, and left.. haha

  • @outlanderrider i wonder the same thing!

  • @C0LEgasmaxx good video mate im just bout to jack my xj myself. just wanted to know how many wheel nuts you lost jk

  • @C0LEgasmaxx did you keep the rear swaybar in? im thinking about taking mine out once i lift it

  • @outlanderrider the jack is to support the rear axle. jackstands at 01:00. YOU SIR, ARE AN ASSHOLE.

  • @SLEEVEofWIZARD1 .....can you read you fucking retard? i was commenting on all the idiots that were TELLING HIM to use jackstands because they were too goddamn stupid to watch the whole video. YOU SIR, ARE A DUMBASS.

  • @outlanderrider I second that, made me cringe. Sheesh.

  • @outlanderrider well acutally there jackstands are used in that video...

  • @deafdude6 that was the point i made.

  • @outlanderrider right?!?! I was WTF?!

  • @outlanderrider I wonder too

  • @outlanderrider

You obviously need glasses because they did use jack stands you JACK ass. Quit trolling youtube looking for videos to post your useless comments.

  • @mark73168 ...are you retarded? no SHIT they used jack stands. i was pointing out all the fuckheads that didn't REALIZE that, JACK ass.

  • Could you have picked a gayer song?

  • @CSXRockford ya problably....

  • @C0LEgasmaxx hows acdc gay?

  • @C0LEgasmaxx what the fuck? would you prefer some hard core nigger shit?

  • @TheHondaAbuser im not quite sure what you are getting at with this comment?

  • @C0LEgasmaxx idk somone commented about the song and

  • i got the same jeep and im gonna put prob the same life what all did u have to do to the front of the jeep like the sway bar and stuff?

  • iv just got about the same jeep and i was more than likely gonna put the same life on mine i was wondering what did u have to do to the front sway bar? and where did u get it

  • @TheHondaAbuser Don't give a bad rep to us cherokee drivers dumb ass.

  • @MTLKEBEK what?

  • @CSXRockford Yes. Anything on the radio today.

  • @CSXRockford you think AC/DC is gay.......wow your going straight to hell

  • Comment removed

  • just about burned it

  • its add a spring so its like 1 or 2 inches isnt it?

  • Nice looking rig...did you have to remove the full leaf pack to AAL?

  • @ScottMcFly1 no you dont. but my leafs were bent... so i got new leaf springs and aal to those.

  • @C0LEgasmaxx how high of a lift was it?

  • good vid. but i would get rid of the rear sway if your lifting for offroad. but if your just using a DD that i wouldnt worry about it.

  • Jack stands!!

  • @dmusgrave5150 1:52....... what are those?

  • looks good man! If I were you, I would loose the anti sway bars tho... you will be amazed at the articulation you will get out of this thing! Ive got a rubicon express superflex 3.5 on my jeep and I pulled both sway bars and it flexs like crazy but its made to. I pulled them off my buddies stock xj and it was crazy how much better it did offroad. Just a thinker for ya but it looks good man

  • what size lift is that? ive got a 3.5" kit on my xj with 31's and the body sits alot higher off the tires.

  • why not just add the leaf??? hence add a leaf kit. not replace and add a leaf?? im assuming that's a 3 inch AAl kit right? i didn't know you have to remove the whole leaf spring.

  • Nice job!

  • Just one small thing, USE F**KING JACK STANDS before you go underneath. Other than that good little vid

  • @elsrally i did.

  • @elsrally WHY CHRISTMAS SOUND LIKE A COOL THING EARLY IN THE MOERING

  • looks like you put the heavy duty springs in the back should have went in the front

  • im starting my lift on my jeep.so far i'v gotten 3 eye bolts loose prolly gonna have to cut the other one.

  • Good job.

Definitly liked your idea of fixing the leaf spring bolt from the bottom

of the jeep. Much cleaner than trying to go through the cargo area floor.

  • Comment removed

  • Im feeling your pain on those leaf spring bolts, having the same issue with my 99. Did you have any issues with the rear upper shock bolts?

  • i hope this was ur first install!!!!!

  • Haha Junglelove by Steve Miller i love listening to that when cruising in my XJ

  • Sweet video man.

  • Nice Jeep: I miss the XJ... why did the Axis power of Daimler get rid of it?

BTW, use jackstands if you're going to help a friend on their Jeep. Never trust a jack alone as that's a quick way to step out of the temporal into eternity if the rig falls on you.

The TJ I was working on almost fell by itself w/o jackstands after I just removed the tires, as I was putting a 2" lift on the thing. Be safe & enjoy that Jeep!

  • @slant6guy i did use jack stands. they were under the fraim rails infront of the axle. just cant see them in the light.

  • @C0LEgasmaxx what lift did you use? where did you buy it and how much????thanks!

  • @lol123321123321 ya. i pulled this kit off a cherokee at the junkyard. but i think its a pro comp, or a rubicon express.

  • @C0LEgasmaxx NICE! you should make a new vid of this doing some minor offroading or something that would be cool Thnks!

  • @C0LEgasmaxx hey where did u get ur tire carrier i like yours better than mine but i only paid 16 bucks at the junkyard. this makes mewant to lift my cherokee

  • Awesome video! And finally someone who actually encodes it in HD properly

  • were the add-a-leafs a pain in the ass to install? I've heard that they are from a lot of people with xj's.

  • @burlwoodman no. not too bad.

  • ummm no reverse lights...replace the sensor

  • @jettaracer94 ya. gotta fix that.

  • nice didnt watch this whole fid no i see yo udid the front

  • why didnt you lift the front

  • i like the tire carrier on the rear? was it built or bought?

  • @jcvince17 it came with the jeep. i think it was a factory option. ive seen a couple Cherokees close to my year w the same one.

  • nice

  • Looks good, i would get a set of black steel wheels to give it a more off road look though.

  • looks good man

  • was going to lift my buddies cherokee and it being a unibody...the parts werent cheap at the time

  • good job dude was this your first lift? the cherokees can be a pain

  • @mrgreen386dls thanks! ya it was.

  • jack stands are a good idea

  • done all that work for 1 inch lift

  • @rogerscottburchett1 lol 3 inches of lift.

  • oh the front bolts,we just dont our,but we were sweating but our came out,if the bolt breaks, like here you have problems, ours were in for 10 years so cant complain, but worth doing.

    regards from scotland

  • ever heard of a breaker bar with a long ass handle and some muscle?

it will either break or come off

  • with those backup skills u will be visiting the garage a lot more in your future

  • @YVANEHTNIOJ69 haha ya i wasnt a verry good driver when we did this. lol i can back up real good now! ;) haha

  • That was extremely long just to show 3 inches of lift. I have 5.5 and 33's and did it in 4 hours including the SYE.

  • just put in a 17'' lift kit on my caprice

  • FYI your back up lights are not working

  • ya i know! idk wtf is wrong w them...

  • @C0LEgasmaxx posable bad ground and or park nutral safty switch had the same problum with my cherokee

i ended up just puting mine on a toggle switch by the way nice jeep

  • where is that switch at?

  • put some nice tires on it

  • Oh man. This definitly reminded me of my lift install. Only difference is mine turned out to be a 5.5" lift instead of a 3". Not gonna complain about it though. One little hint though. Instead of cutting a gap to get to the weld nut on the inside of the front leaf bolt, stick a torch in the hole (the one in your video at 3:14) and heat it from the inside. Just be careful not to heat up the carpet too badly. Since your a Jeep owner this probably won't be your first lift kit install. Good luck!

  • meia boca aquela solda

  • wow, nice jeep. i live in Maine and you cant find a 2005 with out rust starting to come in. i'd love to get a cherokee from florida, or cali, or anywhere, were they don't salt the roads. maine, in the winter salt is thrown down and eats away at the frames and rockers REAL bad.

  • Hey, looks good.. is that a 2 or 3 inch lift?

  • 3 inch.

  • nice jeep, man.

  • How did you find corrosion free Jeep Alloy Wheels? I have them on my XJ Laredo and they have shit loads of corrosion, I need to fix it somehow

  • ohh belive me they were coroded big time! i used sos pads and lots of hard work and sweat to get those clean! took me a good 3 hrs!

  • @C0LEgasmaxx Nice! i gotta fix mine when i get the new tires... I want to strip off all the clear coat on the wheels and re clear coat them. i'm trying to keep the semi stock look lol... all i'm really going to do is lift it 3 inches, put on some 31s throw on my roof rack, mount two KCs on the roof rack and two on the bumper and It'll be done for the most part. oh and I'm putting a flowmaster 40 on it

  • what ya need is some pb blaster..the only thing that works!!!

  • i want my 96 cherokee to look like that with a 3 inch lift and some 31s but idk wtf im doing and how to install my car isn't exactly the thing to start hackin at. any ideas? i know i can do it myself i just need to learn.
