  • Thank you! Just tried this and it worked! The apartments I live in charge you anytime maintenance is required so I wanted to avoid calling them. Worked completely after the 2nd try!

  • I don't really think a video on how to unclog a sink needs "Hey There Dleilah" accompaniment. You don't have to add music to every YouTube video you know.

  • Excellent solution - although the first step is to stopper the regular drain and try using a plunger on the garbage disposal side to clear up the obstruction. The plunger usually works first time around. I tend to stay away from the liquid plumber near plastic pipes.

  • It worked!! I've had many issues with a clogged disposal and tried all of my old "tricks" but none of them worked this time. I did what others suggested and added vinegar down the drain after the baking soda/water mixture and before adding the boiling water. Had to repeat 5-6 times but it finally worked. THANK YOU!

  • WOW WOW WOW I tried this and it works!!!!!!!!!!! I had to repeat about 12 times but it works!

  • my sink was clogged today.... so i asked my mom and she said use Dawn and boiling hot water.... and pump with the plunger hard.... let it sit for 5mins then do it again.... and it WORKED!!!!!

  • this had stalled out on me for a minute and wasn't really working, so i jiggled the switch for my garbage disposal and BLAM! the clog cleared. Now it works perfectly. And to think, the plumber was going to charge me $90!!! (Instead this way cost me like $10)

  • You forgot a very crucial step !

Add a cup of vinegar after you poured in the baking soda and there will be a chemical reaction which will start frothing loosing the dirt, hair and grease. The vinegar which is an acidic acid also acts to soften grease and calcium build up in the pipes. Wait 15-20 minutes and follow up with pouring a pot of boiling water.

  • WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Although "Hey There Delilah" has nothing to do with clogs, this hot water remedy certainly did the trick. Thanks a lot!

  • holy crap alf1230castillo you are amazing you saved my life !!

3 months of my kitchen sink turning into a sess pool. Boiling hot water and laundry detergent while working the plungers did the trick !!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • your video is biased towards your Hot Water solution

how about putting the Liquid Plumbr AFTER taking out the water? OR better yet, try putting your Baking Soda + Hot Water combination while the undrained water is still in the sink?

  • wtf the song has nothing to do with this

  • Do not use the baking soda... you'll just waste it... The hot water turns the cold solid grease into a melted liquid and creates a hole in the clog...

  • @alf1230castillo The baking soda helps by expanding and creating suds to help clean the pipes. In my house we have tried with just boiling water...doesn't work :(

  • It helped my sink too :) Thanks

  • my sink was clogged and i was trying with other store bought products and it didn't work. I started doing your method and it looks like it's working; thank you for putting this video
