May I caution people about using paypal. They have a history of fraudulently freezing people's accounts and take a good cut as well. I would suggest check or moneyorder. Also Tommy, what about Insurance? 4 grand seems like alot for a transmission, but I have had experiences with garages in California charging 3x or more what a job costs in another state. I'd shop around. Also, I'd invest in some cameras or a car alarm too. I hope everything works out.

I'd still get it, they are scilons after all and not noted for their smarts, if you get a good camera that uses IR too then you have better chance of catching them as they might think the night will protect them and they don't wear a hood, I'd say get a good car alarm first though as this will sound if anybody tries to mess under the hood again and he also needs a locking filler cap, I don't know how it is in the US but over here in the UK all cars have locking filler caps as standard.

Well I'm gonna leave the firearms question to the individual, $cilons might just be stupid enough to try and break into the house in which case they leave themselves open to the use of deadly force by the homeowner to protect themselves, however it would be very bad to go out onto the street with a gun if someones messing with your car, you can use a gun to protect yourself and your family but not your car.
