I mean, the maker could have asked his friends to do it! Maybe the people who worked on it could do the voice acting! SOMETHING.

Additionally, they also said that it would take far too much time (they are college students, after all) and it just wouldn't be worth it. Also, voice acting is more than just talking into microphone, you have to have some training or else it sounds awful.
