  • Im goin there today!

  • Poor Yankee fans can't accept the fact that we have a better stadium than they do it's kinda sad I think

  • @somebody9484 its quite a shame they dont realize the importance of growing talent

  • Baseball should be fun and competive. Baseball players should love to play baseball. Money should not control the players in the game.

  • What a fucken EMBARRASSMENT for this GUTLESS Twins team! EMBARRASSED in the playoffs as usual! Hey Twins why dont you do us all baseball fans favor and just fold like a cheap 2 dollar suit in the regular season so us baseball fans dont have to watch your DISGUSTING, CHOKING playoff play! I have never seen a loser franchise like the Twins who cant even buy a win in the post seaseon! What do they have like 12 losses in a row in the playoffs?! DISGUSTING! Bunch of fucken CHOKE ARTISTS!!!

  • 10 days till i get to go here....pretty dam excited

  • YOUR AN IDIOT!!!!!

  • i went to the game tonight---beautiful stadium inside and out...Kinda like Frank Lloyd Wright meets the Jetsons---The main bank of lights remind me of jane Jetson's hair!

  • fuck yankees go twins.Go to hell A rod

  • I watched the game on ESPN and the field looks amazing; i really hope to visit it one day, but it will probably take a while since I have to come from the netherlands....

Anyway all the way over here we're supporting the Twins; GO TWINS!

  • the twins are awsome cant wait to go to the new ballpark

  • Target Field looks like one nice ass ballpark so far. One problem is it's going to be pretty fucking cold there in the April games.

  • @mda40000 I bet your mom likes garbage.

  • @twinsrock15 i bet she does troll... im jus sayin. besides i live in minnesota, so im not hating on this new stadium.

  • @mda40000 You can't get mugged by a garbage burner...

  • @pokerguy94 Actually the weather here is not differnt from cities like Chicago, Detroit, New York, or Boston. All of which have outdoor baseball. So it's not going to be a problem.

  • @twinsrock15 twin suck twins suck twins suck whitesox are going too kick there ass this weekend i cant wait either im going 2 game friday go sox go

  • @BULLSFAN07 I saw a game at the White Sox ballpark and I didn't even get mugged!! WIN TWINS!!!

  • @pokerguy94 Yeah, its been really cold here lately. Im just glad they didn't have a game tonight - 75 degrees is just way too cold for baseball.

  • @sra13093 I'm sorry, you must be mad because your team didn't get Mauer. So you can take your 27 world series trophies and shove them right up your fat pimply ass. By the way the Yanks won't win a world series again for the next 100 years. GO TWINS BITCHES!!!!!!!!!

  • @twinsrock15 RIGHT ON DUDE. TWINS ARE READY TO KICK SOME FUCKING ASS!!!!!!!

  • @twinsrock15 I am a Yankees fan, but I respect the way the Twins develop talent from their farm system. I just wish my Yanks would not spend a fortune to win it all. I would like the Yanks even if they played like the Royals! In 2008 I still loved Yanks! But I am glad the Twins kept Mauer! Much luck to the Twins in their new staduim! Also I have a funny feel the Twins will win all it all this year!

Peace from New York (not all us Yankee fans are mean)

  • @BlackNMedBlaze we, the twins fans of minnesota and beyond, appreciate your kind words! But I have been to a twins-yankees playoff game like 4 yrs ago at the dome, and it seems like out of all teams in the MLB, the twins hate the yanks the most (excluding boston red sox fans, obviously). lol

And peace from the Twin Cities! :)

  • @morristhemoron There is so much I have to tell u about basebll, and my thoughts about it. I will friend request u

  • @twinsrock15 Maher would have never signed, knowing what a crap huge cow pasture field that crap cookie-cutter park is. He will be lucky to get 10 homers in that giant dump. Twins are F'd. Have fun watching boring single hit baseball. Idiot designers.

  • @twinsrock15 thank you. at least somebody realizes the hard work and dedication that the twins put in every season growing players, unlike the yankees who have ADD when it comes to athletes and their performances. Yankees offseason went like: sign grade B catcher, miss cliff lee, miss grienke, so settle for soriano. twins offseason: lose most of bullpen, resign thome, wait on pavano, RIP YANKEE ASS IN 2011!

  • @twinsrock15 yankees can beat the twins every day of the week

  • @sra13093 Sorry to hear that Joe Mauer wouldn't be bought off by the Yankees. I guess he doesn't like the smell of urine filled subway stations. Jump off your bandwagon for a minute and change George Steinbrenner's shiity diaper.

  • Well, Cardinals are honored to be the first away MLB team to play at this awesome stadium (not offically first game anyway but a spring training game)

  • Yes it is 3 millions fans :).

  • I think The Twins will drew 3 million fans at Target Field during its inaugural season.

  • All you stupid yanks, mets and white sux fans are fucking retarded and can go to hell. GO TWINS FUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Don't forget those stupid Cubs fans,too.

  • Cardinals all the way in 2010

  • they didnt do any special features or anything with the ballpark? thats lame. im sure the team will completely choke playing outdoors all season. GO WHITE SOX!

  • Mediocre infield? I assume you're just looking at it from an offensive perspective (typical Yankees fan). Morneau-Hudson-Hardy-Punto will be one of the best defensive infields in the majors. Not to mention Morneau is one of the best offensive players in baseball as well.

Plus when you have Mauer, Kubel, Cuddyer, Span, Young, and Thome playing other positions, you don't need that great of an offensive infield.

  • @GophersGolden Nope the twins wont make the playoffs Put money on that , you have no true ace in that rotation

  • The Twins payroll will approach $100 million in 2010. They have 2 MVPs: Mauer (2009 batting champ) and Morneau. 4 players bat 300+. The.team BA in 2009 was .274 and they hit 770 RBIs. They won the division. Speed and fielding. Pitcher Scott Baker went 12-2 to close the 2009 season. Lariano had a strong offseason. He was a Cy Young candidate and All-Star before injured 2 years ago. Several emerging pitchers are breaking-out without breaking the bank, including 4 who won double-digits in 2009.

  • @tcarstar33 I never had any dought in the twins lineup they just have no true ace I dont care how good liriano did this offseason its the same story every year every thinks thier 100% healthy & think they are going to win a mvp or cy young in february Liriano had a terrible Year he wont do any better this year Scott baker can win 25 games & he still isnt the Ace thats guna push them into the playoffs

  • @TheMetsfan1986: Fair enough. There is no true ace with the Twins. The Twins need to hope that someone emerges.

I should mention that the Twins also have closer Joe Nathan -- who had a few surprising blunders last year but otherwise has been an All-star ace. The bullpen looks to be fantastic again (usually super strong but hammered by injuries last year and now reinforced even more this year).

Speaking of aces, how have the Mets been doing with Santana and the bullpen? Joking....

  • @tcarstar33 Santana is one of the Best you as a twins Fan should know that lol & we have a Great closer in Krod & a couple of pieces that if healthy will be dominate

  • @TheMetsfan1986: Santana is a dominating superstar. He is great. But the Mets have not made the playoffs since he arrived. An ace is not a lock, as several other teams show. There are several ways to get to the postseason. If you are the Yankees, you can buy quality at every position. The Twins have the strategy of having very broad, young talent at pitcher -- so much so that they thought they could trade Garza. Their chicks must hatch. The Twins position players overall will be in the top 2-5.

  • @tcarstar33 It isnt his fault. Mets had huge issues the year of 08 with thier Bullpen the year when Santana went 16-7 & should of been 21-7 but the bullpen Blew 5 Wins for him , if the bullpen would of Saved those Games for Santana the mets would of been in the playoffs since they missed it by one Game.

  • @TheMetsfan1986 made it without one last year so yea....

  • Mauer isn't going anywhere! He'll be in Minnesota his whole career.

  • Your joking right? If anything he's going to Yankees next year since Jorge Posada is getting older and they'll offer him a shit ton of money. If the twins get far this year he'll probably will stay but that wont happen because the sox are taking the division. Have fun watching games in 30 degree weather for 2 months.

  • He won't go to the Yankees. It's not about the money for him. Home town boy, just you watch. 30 degrees isn't a problem. It's when it's 5 degree's and there's wind, but we're not pussies about cold here. Jim Thome in DH, Orlando Hudson at 2nd, J.J. HArdy at short stop and Harris at 3rd. Our infield has improved a shit ton over the off season. I'm not sure where you're from, but in Minneapolis, there has been a lot of coverage on Mauer. It's a sure deal!

  • Since its his home town it is a huge advantage. If the twins do sign him a 10 yr deal like yankees did for jeter hopefully they make a lot with ticket sales then and the revenue goes up. Their payroll last year was at 65 million and now its up to 96. Maybe that doesnt have anything to do with it but hey he's like the most wanted person in the league so dont be surprised if he hasnt gotten offers from the Red Sox or Yankees

  • I agree, it will be sweet to watch them play outside. Now that they're not sharing a stadium with the vikings, all the revenue will go to the Twins. I'm guessing we wont see any 55 or 65 million payroll years anymore. This deal will be huge for MLB, mostly for the small market teams. If Mauer stays, the fact that a player that good didn't go to the Yankees or Boston gives the small market teams hope to keep players. It also levels the playing field a little.

  • I will also say that the new park looks awesome and is a huge improvement over the metrodome. I'm a sox fan and I hated that place. Over the summer Target Field will be a sick place to watch games gurrenteed

  • Some good games will be played here. I can't wait to watch some Twins, Sox games outside. Good luck to your team this year, except when we play them! lol. Lets all focus on beating the Yankees!!

  • This looks like a cool space aged stadium, trains to take you there, a freeway in right field, spectacular views of downtown, but where's the retractable roof? As a season ticket holder, I still like Miller Park the more I go there. The roof pays for it's self every April. We're also the second home to the Indians, Astros and Cubs. It was really cool watching Carlos Zambrano's no hitter in our yard. Hope to see you in the World Series! Stop by for a brat and a beer in our massive parking lot.

  • I do wish that they put a retracable roof on it, but we'll take what we get. Jackets will be needed. Is it Baseball season yet? Dang. Well, at least there's Hockey to be watched!

  • The roof made it too expensive. It took 12 years to get it through the legislature as it was.

  • hey man I like the pride you show in your team an all but that is mediocre infield at best, i like the twins but you guys won't win any world series any time soon.

  • Thank god no more horror dome!

  • this looks like a really nice ballpark...im a yankee fan so i got a nice one of my own lool...but there could be some bad things about this stadium...can the twins handle the cold come april and october?, will the twins still have the ol "dome sweet dome"? and if mauer goes after this season, are they gonna sell the seats out? especially in april and october....a good move or a bad move? too soon to tell

  • thats what I think too.And im from MN

  • @sukafookid nice to have a second opinion lool but now it looks like u got joe long term

  • Good luck in your new stadium. Have fun playing in below zero temperatures and getting games snowed out!

  • Yeah were going to play in negative degree weather.DUMBASS

  • Also, Target Field looks amazing. I hope Twins fans enjoy it.

  • the twins should've just moved. either to las vegas or puerto rico. or any other place where baseball is kind off a big deal

only thing midwestern americans like nowadays is football

  • uh minnesota is part of hockey country too, north dakota, minnesota, southdakota

  • You forgot about Hockey. That's way bigger than Football in the Midwest. You're obviously not from there.

  • the park looks fucking awesome

  • Even as a Tribe fan I'd much rather see the Twins succeed rather than the Tigers, or White sox. I have to admit I hate watching the homegrown all stars of the twins crush my Indians. But it is much better than watching the, lazy; tigers and white sox franchises crush us with their big name free agent signings. Go Tribe & Go Twins!

  • Do any of you Ignorant Minnesotans ever take the Vikings under consideration?

I always believed that "Football is King" in Minnesota. Being the case, why do we not also have another Outdoor Stadium for the Vikings? Maybe the Vikings will come to Los Angeles to play in the New Football Stadium built there in 2013.

  • Probably because the Vikings always choke in big games. I really want them to build a stadium for the Vikings but I believe the only way thats going to happen is if they win the superbowl this year.

  • That isn't a good attitude to take towards your Football Team. So what, just because the Vikings never won a Super Bowl for Minnesota, you are going to say "Screw them!"? Win or lose, I always believed that the Vikings are Cool!

And being that I do live in the Los Angeles area, I would love to have the Vikings come here to play Football. They're better than the other 6 NFL Teams wanting to come here in 2013. Hopefully by then, Global Warming will hit Los Angeles.

  • hey this vid is really cool so is that video response "the mlb new parks" or whatever

  • Holy ignorance!! First off Minneapolis is no colder than Chicago, Detroit or Cleveland in April.. FACT!! The majority of the playing season (May-Sept) has tems averaging from the mid 70s to high 80s. Perfect summer outdoor baseball weather!! If you want misery go watch a game in Florida or Texas in July! If you honestly cannot handle temps in the 40s in April you are a total puss and should be watching the game at home anyway!!

  • Nice park, but one thing, in Minnesota, you need a dome

  • open field in minnesota? genius.....

  • Comment removed

  • First time I see a stadium with a highway going right under it.

  • looks like a combination of coors field and washington's stadium

  • Nice park! As opposed to other newly built parks, this stadium nixes the retro-look and opts for a more modern look. I especially like the outfield seating configuration and the color of the seats.

  • the dome rUles only a fool hates on the dome ... what matters are the memories and that you remember seeing games as a kid there , not how "pretty "it is...... this new stadium look$ really cool but i say LONG LIVE THE DOME !!!

  • I'll enjoy seeing Mauer playing there next year.

Sadly, the year after,us Twins fans will only see him there when his new teamates the Yankees come to play.

  • Yea that sounds about right haha

  • Mauer will never play for the yankees. YOU FUCKING TARD!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Twins will make a very competitive contract offer to Mauer. No matter what it is,The Yanks,or,the Red Sox will top it big time.

They can't help themselves. They love big names. And both of thier catchers are getting old.

  • I'd love to see Mauer in a Red Sox uniform, but I'd prefer to see him stay with the Twins for the remainder of his career.

  • Tigers fan here. Thank God the Twins are getting a real ballpark.

I can't stand watching games in that dome, It just look so ugly and empty. Glad to see them get a real all baseball outdoor park.

  • shut up punk thats why the twins are gonna win the 1 game playoff and ur little Tigers will be watching at HOME HAA GO TWINS

  • wow it looks like safeco field they came up with the train behind the park thats the mariners thing i love griff. all the mariners really

i hate betencourt retard ended endy chavez season

  • Those Twinkies are finally done with that big, ugly, dome.

  • dome is alright for football but that place sucks for baseball....i say blow the dome up

  • why does it suck? there's no snow out or rain outs and the twins play great there

  • I want to get you to shut the fuck up

  • why do you want me to shut up? because im right?

  • no dome? opening day should be a real scorcher.

  • very nice

  • Oh stop it, downwithfedr. We know you're really Jewish.

  • Have anybody checked out the webcam?

  • Twins in Metrodome = Bad

    Vikings in Metrodome = good

  • Its qood but is its qoinq to be better than yankee stadium hell to the no..(Yankees fan)

  • Yankee Stadium sucks. (Twins Fan)

  • new yankee stadium sucks Target Feld is gonna be one of the best parks in the country.

  • y is it elevated?

  • Its not elevated, thats unders ground parkin

  • I wished they wouldn't have used the field stone on the outside. It just doesn't look right.

  • well hey, here is my comment. if i am sitting in target field someday in October freezing my ass off, i will be very happy to be sitting in target field freezing in October =)

    october baseball = good

  • looks expensive

  • It's cheaper than the 1.4 billion dollar gay ass yankee stadium. Target field is only 522 million.

  • You dipshit, the reason it cost 1.4 billion is because its so expensive to buy and build land in the bronx. no one wants to build in america's pasture.

  • a3dez)03 the yankees spent all that money on Yankee stadium and it's a piece of shit. Twins Rule you little bitch. Our stadium is going to rock. New York Sucks.

  • Hey genius. This stadium was built in the heart of the city between two major city arteries and part of the park was built over a major freeway. Two huge parking ramps sit on each side. And they had to build two transit stations. One for light rail and a second for commuter rail comming into the park. An elevated plaza was also built over city streets to connect the park to nightclubs, bars, and theaters. Try educating youself before making ignorant comments.

  • god i hope they build this

  • It's basically already built. Opening day is April 12, 2010 against the Red Sox.

  • hey Twin fans, good luck with the new ballpark! Hope you better luck with your new park then we are having ! (METS Fan!)

  • right on

im a mets fan too but i love citi field so damn much i dont care for the team as much as at shea! (jk i still love the mets)

  • Nice ballpark.

  • ya gotta love the twins offense and the righties like Cuddyer and Young and Crede will like the shorter dimensions in right field, as well as Joe Mauer for oppo homers. this is all comin from a cubs fan right here.

  • Marinners suck.

  • oh wow this looks really nice. I'm a Cubs fan but that looks like it'll be a really nice park.

  • im a cubs fan 2

  • awesome go hawks

  • I liked the Metrodome better than Target field

  • your a dumbass if u like the metrodome more

  • Go Rays!

The only reason I like the twins is becasue they were stupid enough to trade ALCS MVP Matt Garza and SS jason Bartlett to the Rays!

  • I'm a BoSox fan, but I'm really excited for the new stadium. I love baseball stadiums, and Target Field looks very nice. I hope the Twins and their fans enjoy it.

  • twins suck mets rock ya!!!!

  • Who wants to bet that Justin Morneau is going to put a hole in the big screen on opening day.

    :D lol

    HELL YEA!!!

  • i heard it will have heated grass (like football field have) to melt snow. anyone know if thats true?

  • Not really heated grass, but there are heating coils like six inches under the ground not just to melt the snow, but even to warm the field on cold days. Slight climate control.

  • The weather here is the same as the weather in New York or Boston, we get the weather first though.

  • It can easily get 30 in may... Not to many years ago we had like 12 inches of snow and ice on my moms B day...... MAY 29

  • seems like a lot of people are concerned about early april weather. im from detroit and go to opening day every year. just throw on extra layers and you will be fine. they have been doing it in detroit, cleveland and chicago for decades. look at it th is way too, we always worried about what would happen if the rockies had to play into late october. a couple years ago it finally happened and everything seemed to work out. finally most of those domes are gone!!!

  • Target field is gonna be awsome

  • hell yeah!!!!!!!

  • this is gonna be a big field

could they now possibly hold a wrestlemania here?

  • Who gives a shit about wrestlemania?

  • The Metrodome is bigger so...

  • The first design had a retractable roof, but the bill was not passed because it would have cost too much. We're not New York.

  • They should make the seats navy instead of green.

  • wtf does snow and rapeing have to do with a stadium.... people from chicago r dipshits... well at least south side

  • very nice, but the only thing is its going to be cold in april and around late august and september....but i do like the stadium

  • yeah but its not that bad, were minnesotans were used to the cold, its an advantage

  • well nethings better than da gay rays sailboat ballpark, they dont even have a scoreboard on their 3d video lol. This actually looks pretty nice, i like the walkway in rightfield. Looks good but the best team is still the world champ phills!!!

  • You shut the fuck up, Minnesota twins rule!

  • This stadium looks awesome. I want to go to a twins game when this opens. This is so much better than the Metrodome. Twins are the best MLB ever. At least we just don't go out and steal peoples players like the Red Sox, Yankees, Mets, Dodgers, and Angels. Now we just need a new stadium for the Vikes!

  • At 2:04, is that an overhang in rightfield?

  • Absofrigginlutely that is!

  • looks like theres not much seating there but im not for sure if thats only me

  • It seats 40,000 people. That means it seats more people than Fenway park.

  • good math

  • The New Ballpark will only seat around 40,000, as opposed to the Metrodome's 55,000+. However 18,500 seats are infield seats.

  • there will only be 42,500, as opposed to the Dome's 55,000+

  • Now let the Vikings play outdoors as well!

    IMPLODE THE METRODOME NOW!!!

  • sorry i agree with nygiants71693..it's like the ARIZONA cardinals building a "retractable roof" stadium which never seems to be open anyway. ur in fuckin arizona..oh wait it gets too hot out there haha. and yes it does rain in florida, but i'm thinkin it rains everywhere else too.some teams r dome teams, but let's try to limit them...the giants and jets r building retract roof which will never be open.play in the elements. vikings example... 4 super bowls at the old met, 0 since the HHH dome

  • did they start building that yet?

  • of course they started building you idiot its open in 2010.

  • lmao

  • target field???? im fine with target but do something like target coliseum or target stadium

  • It isn't a coliseum or a stadium. It's open, like.. you know.. a field.

  • ya i guess but i just dont like field doesnt sound good

  • I agree. I would have like "Target Park."

  • That stadium is Target Field

  • go rays and they are building a new OUTDOOR stadium so screw you nygiants71693

  • Are they crazy for building this team an outdoor stadium? They must be planning on having the Twins play in the Metrodome in April and part of May.

  • coming out of winter, april and may will feel good

  • nice stadium but crappy name, target field thats terrible, well not as bad as enron field though :)

  • i hate domes...there dark and uncomfortable...this stadium looks really nice...twins old stadium is shit...what i dont get is why the the tampa bay rays play in a fuckin dome when there in FLORIDA thats like an oxymoron

  • because it RAINS in Florida...

  • No, no it doesn't. That can't be the reason. ;)

  • It's so damn hot there i was there and i was glad that they had a dome because its really hot and nice in cool inside
