As for the contest rules thing, the idea is it is a machinima contest, not just filming in game footage. Personally i'm not expecting any winners to not have used Model viewer. You can't even film the band otherwise. Good luck in the comp!

Doesn't say anything about whether it has to be in-game. According to the rules, you can even make a live-action video if you so desire. Don't quote rules unless you've read them yourself!
