The network bridge is not needed for everyone. But it is needed for some and does not affect in negative way. It is best for everyone to make a bridged connection anyway. Some do need it.

how do u bridge a broadband VPN connection with an ethernet cable cuz i use the broadband not the wifi part... i have the novetel mifi 2200 from verizon and its frustrating... i followed all the steps shown and they WOULD NOT WORK... well they did but when i got to the last step when i clicked on the one thing where ur supposed to turn on the sharing thing it wasnt there :(. i looked and tryed sharing the things individualy but it would only share one thing at a time...

@keyblade025 When you go to sharing on your internet connection and select "Allow other network users to connect...." and hit ok, a prompt should open up stating your IP address. If that doesnt work, it will be in the Network Connection Details where you found the DNS Server number to put in. It will simply be labeled "IPv4 Address"

I only had problems with point 9), the IP address bit. you cant leave it blank, without specifying an IP address, so I kept that whole part in automatic mode (but I still manually typed the DNS).

No need for bridge, and if you are having problem in that you need to type an ip address in IPv4 properties just leave that to "obtain an IP address automatically". Also in sharing tab tick "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection" and then go to what's underneath it " home networking connection" and change this to local area connection. However, there are many other ways of doing this so don't worry if it doesn't work for you.

like yu know how there is 3 stages where it loads

Xbox 360 --> Network --> Xbox Live

it only gets to Xbox 360 --> Network

GUYS ive been very frustrated lately as i usually had to restart my connection thing to get my 360 to connect to live. so while trying this guys method i messed around with some things and I FUCKING got it. if your 360 has trouble getting your ip address open your network connections (:35) and bridge those LAN and the wirelss ones. make sure you disable sharing and then connect to your network on your computer then it should be good.
