I just read Bart D. Ehrman's book about the lost gospel of Judas..you wonder why these books were not included in the bible when early Christians, who were experiencing something incredible and mysterious, used some of the gnostic gospels. Book of Thomas is good too!

@Wolfsbane909 The kingdom exist on earth. It was established on earth. The kingdom is made up of the people- are there people in your mind (Dan 2:44, Acts 2, 1st Cor 12:13-23, Eph 4:11-12, Col 1:13)? Maybe, if so your delusional, but the kingdoms primary role is on earth (evangelism) thus they are on earth (Matthew 28:18-20,John 4:35-38,).

Judas is symbolic of jesus's lower nature.You can't take any scripture's literal.Ancients were only symbolic with words.

I think this is where the so called doctors of ancient history became biased they call the one those who do the torture Romans and the one being tortured are Christians. The question is are those Christians not Romans? are they not citizen of Rome? or are they Romans with christian faith?

The correct way I think is pagan Romans torture the Christian Romans that's the political correct way to describe it so as not to mislead people to think those Christians were not Romans where in fact they are.

Elaine is wrong on one point. SHes correct when she says the "gnostics" didnt call themselves by that term. BUt they did NOT call themselves christians either. They called themselves ESSENES and NAZOREANS. Both meaning "sons of the light" or "enlightened ones". Of course the western establishment edited the gnostic texts they supposedly discovered in 1945 and renamed many of the titles and characters and gave them christian names so people would dismiss these writings as extrabiblical
