  • "It's up to you".....has always touched my heart. "When the leaves begin to fall......... you point your finger at me" reminds me of my visits to Cobham Surrey. Walking alone in the Autumn......kicking up the leaves, thinking only of the love of my life.Missing him with every part of me.I wish that I could be with him, where I should, and deserve to be , after what feels like an eternity, by his side. Cobham is where the Moody Blues Fan Club was initiated. So many, spoilt little rich people.

  • The fog is lifting further...Feb. 8, 2012 posting, yes, no reason to hide from one's truth.

  • My favorite Moody Blues tune It's a Mighty Wind style

  • .....A ...Legend..... Having Fun......

  • ‎"Those who, while they disapprove of the character and measures of a government, yield to it their allegiance and support are undoubtedly its most conscientious supporters, and so frequently the most serious obstacles to reform."

    Henry David Thoreau

  • Does anyone here know how Justin plays that high interlude at the beginning of the song? I can't find it anywhere on the internet.

  • god damn, what an incredibly talented man.

wish more young people my age could appreciate real talent

  • I was in the Navy in San Diego when Question of Balance came out......I bought it on 8 track and that album got passed up and down the barracks for a month.....wore out I then bought the LP.....I sitll have it but its wore out....so many great memories of that fantastic album.....I love all the early heavy Mellotron albums and cherish them all.

  • this was live in san juan capistrano

  • Hot Damn!! Justin is just amazingly gorgeous here and boy does he still got it!! His voice is so beautiful. Just peirces your heart!! What a purely gentle soul!! The Moodies are just forever phenomenal!! They have touched souls through all these years!! No one can touch them!! The Moodies forever my friends!! :)) ♥

  • Lovely to see you my friend

  • brilliant guitar work!

  • What two morons voted this down? If you don't like this, you should just go away and go back to your rap crap...

  • He has been amazing me for over 40 years, and continues to do so. Damn, he's good.

  • An absolutely amazing talent, brings to mind words like artistry and brilliance! This man alone could carry a generation. Will there ever be another voice quite like Justin's? I can't imagine anyone out playing or out singing this man!

  • @Frankiarmz he is an angel

  • a very nice job on a difficult song to play- justin is really good with just an acoustic. and believe me- everything is right up front- if you screw up it shows. the really great ones can screw up and hide it - I don't think he missed anything during this whole show..lots of songs to know and chords and he pulled it off.

    bravo.

  • RedBaron-What a dynamite video. Beautiful Justin Hayward solo of one the the best songs. Where or what is SJC? Thanks!!

  • San Juan Capistrano I think

  • Thanks. I've been there several times, mostly getting off the 5 freeway to go to inland. It's a beautiful place.

  • Yes

  • I believe that this was recorded at the Coach House. Can anyone confirm that?

  • I can hear a Buddy Holly influence in this...but with Hayward's unmistakeable style.

  • One thing I appreciate so much is the willingness of Moody Blues audiophiles to post the rare videos they have so all of us can enjoy them. This version is a real treasure.....thank you for making it available!

  • You can buy the whole concert on Justin`s website. So it isnt that rare.

  • This guitar that Justin is playing was designed and built for James Taylor. Justin played it and liked it so much that he asked J.T. if he could purchase it. J.T. politely agreed.

  • I used this bit of trivia the other day. Telling my daughter about theguitar:)

  • Hey There! Yeah...I recall Justin telling the story in an interview. He saw the axe the back room in a shop in CA, played it, and loved it. When the owner told him who it was for, he promptly called J.T. with the request.

  • Great Album. Great Song.

  • That guitar is mine's sister.. made from the same piece of cedar. And I love this song.. simply beautiful!

  • this really is my very favorite moody blues song of all time - I learned it on guitar and it's a blast to play and really not that hard to play if yu are thinking about learning it .

  • i love you ohhhhhohhhhhh! this song

  • I am so jealous of his ability to play that guitar!

  • No One Can Sing, Or Write, About The wonders Of Life, Quite Like Justin Does....No Reason To Hide From The Truth.....Legendary Man....AwllllohhhohhhooohhhawllllllooooooAAAAHHHHHAAAAHHHH

  • I fell in love with my beautiful Barbara in January of 1971 with this song in my ear. We're still together, and I thank Justin and The Moody Blues for the many years of inspiration.

  • Justin My Dream....Justin Stay Forever.... Legendary Man.....The Truth.... Always Shines....Justin My Dream....Justin Stay Forever...

  • Love this song! Sounds so great with just the guitar. Thank you red again!

  • A wonderful song!

    Moody blues forever...

    Thanks for posting it.

  • I've gotta chime in here- I am 40 and have loved the Moodies since college. Justin Hayward is a revelation. I don't know how else to put it. Just beautiful music.

  • So good! Thanks for posting.

  • A great cut that you never hear anymore!! Was wrecked that they didn't play it when I seen them a while back. Thanks for posting.

  • Really cool version. His guitar work is so fluid.

  • The original Moodies studio recording always reduces me to tears for its sheer haunting beauty and musical elegance. This version comes real close and it's only Justin and a guitar. Fabulous!

  • i love this song

  • I saw him in NYC and when he went into the beginning of this song I nearly had a heart attack.

  • not an easy song to play. I like dawning is the day also but really can't be done solo.

but justin pulls this off very nicely- he is really a nice guy- I met him once in colorado. he gave me a time traveler t shirt- a very under rated guitarist in my opinion. he is a very good rhythm player and I think he uses alternative tunings quite a bit.

  • This and DITD are two of my favs off QOB...I ran into (almost literally) Justin on my way to the ladies room in Denver in Nov of 99...i remember the date because it was my last night out before leaving Denver for 6 years...he was so gracious...what an elegant elegant cat...musically and in his personal carriage...seems so humble and inside himself..very underrated and I love his tunings and arrangements...yup, Ima fan, oldschool

  • like you i love this song very much and dawning is the day, but DITD is not to be found on YT yet, if i knew how to do it i would make a video with that song!! :))

  • One of my all time favorite Moody Blues songs. How beautiful. What a poet and songwriter Justin is. What a great Classic Rock group.

  • Whoa! Look at that shirt!!

  • I agree with inwoodliver, it was most lovely to see.

  • This is a real treat.

  • Lovely to see this!

  • I have to say it is one of my favorite song to.

  • Fantastic. One of my favorite Moodies songs. Love the stripped down acoustic version. Thanks!

  • Great to see you with your age at Youtube!!

    Really fatastic! Best whishes!!!
