does the size of the wheels and trucks affect how good you can pump? I have 62mm on 150mm trucks. I plan on getting 200mm trucks w/ 76mm wheels. Will this improve or hurt my pump ability. Im upgrading my setup b/c on my board, its such a pain in the ass to pump and i heard that if i go bigger, it should be easier, is this true?
The kinetic energy gomes from his moovement of his body. He is using glucose to make muscles moove. The muscles are mooving his feet and boody in a direction, and the board are just making that energy last long?
when you enter a turn, you essentially add weight to the side you want to turn. during turns, you may notice that the board is actually bending down towards the ground, this is a boards flex. by manipulating the boards flex and properly shifting your weight, you can generate kinetic energy as pressure increases on the side of your wheels during turns, and with practice you can get this energy to "push" you out of turns. with practice you can skate for miles without touching the ground.
tick tacking is where you lift the board and move it to one side, touch the ground then go to the other side and touch down and keep doing that, he does'nt take the board off the ground apart from like the first two seconds lol.
what you do between 0:04 and 0:06 is called pivoting. It is the way that I skate. I have 3 vids on it so check them out. NO THEY ARE NOT ON MY ACCOUNT, they are on my dad's youtube, robvideo12. He taught me how to but none of the videos have him on it. Enjoy
Damn, I want those trucks! They look pretty fun for carving and pumping! Hey, what's your setup? Deck, wheels, trucks, risers? I have a shortboard and I'm thinking of slappin' a pair of seismics on it!
Pumping is when you are pushing to gain speed, Carving is when you are trying to slow down or keep from going too fast down hill.

"where does the kinetic energy come from?"
ever been on a swing?
Goech 2 years ago
Yes, bigger is better. also a lower durometer wheel is better for better grip and smoothness.
You'll need some risers for those 200 mms, so the wont pinch.

Since he never touch the ground, I am wandering where the kinetic energy comes from? How it keep moving?

cmdrgabee 4 years ago
Yeah they are sweet! They are the 180 mm 45 degree seismics. I made my own raisers out of arcrylic.
The wheels are sector 9 78a 76 mm. the bearings are abec9.
The board is a cheap walmart board I just threw away the cheap trucks wheel and bearings.
let me know when you get'em
