It's a glitch the other guy is utilizing. I'm actually being the victim of it currently in a game. i have no idea how it is done, but it is the cheapest thing I've ever seen in a game. The kid's gamertag I'm playing against is TerryDate so if anyone plays with him be prepared. This is the first time I encountered it and I've been looking up how he does it because I was going to attempt to do it back to him. I was winning 4-0 and now he's winning 7-4. The game has been going on for an hour.

this glitch is caused by the ea servers lagg

basically while playin against an opponent online very rarely the ea server will uncontrolably slow down to a relief speed to refrain from crashing! how do i know this you mite ask i have a cousin who works on the EA Sports NHL 08 serevers and is also working on the EA Sports Hockey League Servers

no it's what happens when you edit your lines, either before or after the roster update. a) you can't bring scratched players online and B) sometimes you can't edit the lines of teams at all i.e. the Phoenix Coyotes.

no man your cd is not screwed up or your connection isnt bad. people do this glitch all the time. they usually press start and then do something in the menu, and then this happens. the other player you are playing did this to you. it has happened many times to me, as im 290th in the world. I usually leave my xbox on until he eventually quits. you still wont receive the win though.

This is a glitch. Happens all the time when you play online. Reason is the network buffer. The game buffer certain amount of data and then replays it. Its a bug and nothing else. Only one of many bugs in the game.

Ive been playing NHL 08 on the 360 for a while & the only glitches have been in goals (teleporting pucks...etc). Ive never seen that before as an NHL 08 glitch, but like everyone else said its probably either your CD, internet connection, or some weird laggy thing. Hope this helps.

Are you playing online?... Because this happends often online.. When the oposing player tries to DC glitch you and it doesn't work then this happends... Or it is just a connection problem. Most of the time it's when the other guy tries to DC GLITCH and then the game only works when you they have the puck... THis is my theory.. but I play on PS3 I've played like 700 online games lol and this is my best guess.
