  • THIS IS REAL MUSIC...WHEN THEY REALLY HAD SOMETHING TO SAY

  • They truly were ahead of their time, and most genius isn't truly recognized until many years later. I'm just thankful people caught up and their influence is starting to realize itself.

To the person who listened (you know who you are), thank you. I guess I have a gift for these things and I'll share it with you for free to help. (although I really wouldn't mind a check either to do it full time :)

  • "MiLK and chees to pacify..." If only people thought about that. They give a person just enough to keep them from protesting.

  • @ivmoz True, and unfortunately the Southern cats who are spitting dope lyrics with meaning they won't get any radio spins or play.

  • @SUFUNKFACTORYZPHIZ Bcuz knowledge is power and cats like these are perceived as a threat. So record execs market rappers who spit that dumb shit

  • @ivmoz No one period dude. There albums were consistently better than the previous ones...over and over. The real kings of the south right chea

It's great when your see your favorite (and underrated at the time) artists blow up and finally get recognized (They won the Album of the Year Grammy, the same one the Beatles, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson won ;)

  • @yaya31965 They have an album coming out next year.

  • dis like this is retarded amazing more like it

  • What a great song

  • In due time, 9 people will remain enslaved.

  • This is the jam. Makes me think about Georgia everytime I hear Outkast, or Goodie Mob. I don't think hip-hop and soul will ever come together again like this. I'm not dogging the new rap, but this was southern hip hop at it's best.

  • @Calhoun1863 i agree, and u can dog the new rap, its ok. u'd only be speaking the truth

  • @Calhoun1863 its a shame to see where poopular rap/hip-hop is right now

  • @Calhoun1863 new rap blows compared to these geniuses

  • @Calhoun1863 I'm not even from the south but every time I hear this it gives me a good feeling.

  • @Goods213 It's a song that will get you through a tough day. It seems like it refreshes the soul lol. I'm probably just too big of a fan of Outkast and Ceelo lol.

  • @Calhoun1863 Big K.R.I.T. is probably as close as it gets with the new school rap to the nostalgic sound you're referring to.

  • @Calhoun1863 I feel ya on that bruh Dirty South will never be like it was then

  • ok, who's the 9 fools that disliked this great, motivational and uplifting song?

  • @mistadontplay29449 Niggas.

  • the best song everrr yall dk

  • @ratfinkskates i believe he was referencing social control in general. not literally slavery

  • My soul needed this....

  • This is real right here .

  • Hip hop had a message back then.

  • Scoot Yo Ooh BEST song of the year by FAR!!!!! Cant wait till the vid comes out!!!!!!!Heard it In Magic City (Atlanta Strip Club) the other NIGHT H-O-T

  • I use 2 listen 2 this song 2 here ceelo's part. One of the deepest rappers when it come to putting messages in hip hop.

  • please dont ever take this vid down :)

  • Big K.R.I.T and Kendrick Lamar gon bring real hip hop back

  • Kanye is the Christian slater of rap, he sucks but he is good. I understand that Kanye tries to put positive message in his rap, but most of the time he raps about how rich he is, how many cars he has, how many women he has slept with, blah blah blah. Don't get me wrong he made some very good tracks when he was coming up on his first and second album. Kanye simply has too much money to be a good rapper. I liked him better when he was poor.

  • @bigbass141 Do you and the 4 people who thumbed you up realize how little sense that makes?

  • @TWill800 In order to understand you have to know Christian Slaters career. lol. It makes sense to me and those four people so whatever lol.

  • Wowww :)

  • hopefully that new outkast album is more than a rumor. I would kill for some new material from the greatest hip hop duo in history.

  • Old skool right here

  • This vid is just bliss....kinda reminds me of erykah badu's next lifetime vid

  • rap has completely changed kanye is the last rapper who's keeping iit real like this

  • @JAKOFTRADE Kanye.... Like this? Kanye is good, but Goodie Mob and Outkast have no comparisons.

  • @JAKOFTRADE kanye is not real is a puppet of the illuminati like gay z beyo, gag rihan wake up for it too late

  • Cee-Lo went hard

  • @mkwicks63 He always does. :) Listen to his part on Goodie Mob - They Don't Dance No Mo (he's last).

  • @mkwicks63 youtube.com/watch?v=wLMTbO-72XY&feature=related

  • this has a lot of soul. nice track

  • 4 people aint keepin the faith

  • Y bitch about ceelo singing when you hear it throughout albums?

  • Great song.. wiz flight time...

  • TRUE HIP HOP. FOOD FOR THOUGHT. PLEASE WAKE UP PEOPLE WE NEED EACHOTHER TO SURVIVE.

  • I miss this real raw hiphop before the illuminati took total control of the industry & made music artist dumb down the lyric's!

  • I REMEBER THIS SONG! I LOVE IT!!!!!

  • gangster shit

  • this was 97' right, notice that when andre breaks away from the 'chain gang' with the shackle in hand he's mimicking the chariot's of fire theme but saying "bling bling bling bling"...is he really that ahead or maybe this weed is too good lol

  • ceelo was G back in the day lol

  • 0 dislikes. Amen.

  • MEMORIES, CLASSIC, MEMORIES, CLASSIC, MEMORIES CLASSIC

DAMN WHAT HAPPENED TO HIP HIP?????????????????????

  • you lookin to be the butterfly without the caterpillar take your time and do it right cause you gone make it i swear my nigga.

  • Classic Jam.

  • This real music

  • That's west side Savannah on MLK. C port

  • Yeah this was when rap wasn't so microwavable. Lot of the music back then had substacnes. Now days raps music is like fast food, ready made bullshit. I remember when rap had a message rather the message was stop the violence or it was to simply take pride. The point is there was a message that was being conveyed it's like cell phone......, signal lost

  • @sav702 ...Damn, why is your comment not rated number 1??!! Signal lost...that's some real talk right there!

  • Damn....This shit just took me back. I just thought about a lot of good times with good music. What happened to hip hop? there was a time where black artist had to act like bafoons to get famous, but there's no excuse now. I guess everything does come full circle. i just can't wait until the real shit cones back. What's crazy is I saw Cee Lo on the today show this morning. To me he's always Cee Lo from the Goodie Mob. That dude has come a long way.

  • No haters lit the green dutch!

  • Comment removed

  • the 'chain gang escape scene' is the best and funniest part of any video I ever seen sn: damn cee lo done got fat as fuck, I mean he was chubby back then but he really let himself go
