Orlando was terrible with Carter, he got only 29 minutes per game, didn't get the ball as much as others and also received criticism from the fans. I just hate to see that criticism just cause he doesnt dunk anymore. Look at Kobe, he barely dunks nowadays, but the fans dont say shit. Carter has fucked up legs now and hes getting old too, hes still an amazing player, and to me, a hall of famer. Watch out, the 20,000 point mark is close. :)

Blame this trade on the Orlando fans that THINK they know basketball! They along with the pessimistic SVG influenced Otis Smith to make a move to trade Vince. It was also rumored that Dwight Howard had gone to the management to ask them to pull the trigger on a move after the "poor defensive effort" during the west coast trip. Shame on Orlando for getting rid of VC! They will regret it the same way they regretted Lewis contract, Rafer Alston benching, trading Barnes, and SVG shitty offense!

orlando fans were very unkind to VC. He played very well 19 ppg is not that easy to come by especially when your not even the main scorer on your team. Its true what you guys say they never really seemed to like VC in Orlando....but hey he still gots some left in the tank. i think magic fans expected him to come out and play like he did back when he was traded to the nets.

This is very overwhelming news. I thought and hoped that Vince would end his career in Orlando , but I realize that they wouldn't have had a realistic chance against the big power houses. On one hand I'm sad, because I know that this isn't what Vince wanted, but on the other, this is a great team to come to. Vince will have a bigger role on the team and of cource have the luxury of having Nash on his side. Steve Nash, Grant Hill happen to be my 2 favorite players behind VC :)

i was depressed and furious wen the trades were going down...but after cooling down I'm honestly a little eager and excited to see the change! and with NASH! and an actual offense. better fit for VC imo..never really got the chance in Orlando..but never really proved enough.

As indicative of this page and most Carter highlight channels, I will not miss Vince Carter's fans. They are (for the most part) incredibly irrational and typically misinformed. I will miss Vince as both a player and a person. Though he wasn't able to deliver for Orlando during the 2010 playoffs, he's a consummate professional and a great teammate.

When he was averaging 19ppg in the 2010 season, they were complaining he was shooting too much and being too aggressive. Then he shoots less and shoots 47% from the field and now he's not being aggressive enough ... what do they want?

VC was not a good fit in his hometown. I am very excited for a change of scenery.
