I was going to say they got handed off to departures awfully quick, but then I realised that the ATC is not in real time.

What sort of device do you plug in to your scanner to record the ATC. An mp3 palyer?

@ben7k I have a Sony Camera, a Sony Dictaphone. (that can record over 500 hours direct to MP3) The dictaphone sits in the car with my scanner so there is no crap noise and children shouting and screaming and adults non-stop talking. LOL

@mikeycbd Ah that's a much more elegant method than the one I tried, which was hold the scanner speaker up to the mic on the camera. Talk about awkward.

@studog229 most planes are leased, as i understand it, but this is relatively new in the skies over the southern hemisphere.  Reading some news media some are saying It's Virgin Blue's new look, others are saying a new design is coming. Whatever it's certainly getting noticed in the aviation world.
