the best piece to sinfonic Rock..Es lo mejor,en terminos estrictamente musicales, que a dejado toda la musica de los 60 y 70..Para un futuro claro está..Hoy en día,un concepto así no impone su fuerza..
This album was the next logical step for the band, but it is slow moving. The quality is excellent as always, though. When Wakeman left the band for the 1st time, The guys didn't want to stop the music, as if everything depended on Wakeman. So they got another keys player, Pat Moraz, who, I think was able to add a lot to their sound. Hence one of the best albums of all time, in "Relayer," was revealed. Yes never again matched that album, artistically.
Man, I love Yes, but they lost me on this one. Way too much noodling with little direction musically (totally agree with Wakeman), and the lyrical themes get to be a bit much. Not as many interesting melodies as their previous three albums. I mean, listen to this song it's more a repeating chant than melody. And the guitar is just strumming. Sorry boys.
I think that this is a beautiful album and there ARE beautiful melodies but sometimes it sounds a little slow and drawn out -- but there are so many great parts...Possibly this was too much about spirtual issues , but like all Yes albums they are only interpretable by the individual...
This will never be my main Yes album--but it seems with Yes fans this is THE album. I like when Wakeman came and joined them for Going for the One album.
These guys are amazing. They were also cool in concert back in the day. At some of their shows, for the intermission each member performed a different solo and the stage spun around
a masterpiece of progressive rock
YES is the band that defines the genre

@1qaz2wsx3edc5753 I think it's pace is just perfect. I don't want anyone going at a crazy tempo like senseless, unless it's the Mahavishnu Orchestra.
