The city of Detroit should put people to work by paying out of work citizens to clean that place up. It will take a long ass time but that is job security for awhile then they should put up an electrical fence around the whole damn place.
@crazyguy1488 WITH WHAT MONEY! I'm sorry but the last time I check Detroit wasn't a model for financial efficiency. They have been bankrupt more then once. They have a 20 percent unemployment the last time I checked. That means they don't get a lot of tax revenue, but they spend more then they get already.
As the infrastructure (pipelines, etc.) fail, the best thing for the city to do in all reality is to "compact" what's left into a core area, where electricity and other services vital to the city could be maintained, until another upswing or growth spurt occurred...
The more of Detroit that I see burned to the ground, the more of a "Future" I see for the land it opens up for development. If the Government will finish burning Michigan to the bare-earth...there might just be some form of hope for that State. ... as it is, the whole State is Worthless.
