  • i got the xs20, also cheap, amazing cymbals

  • what is the music at 0:18 to 0:30 ??

  • APX is such a under rated line of cymbal for the price and the sound you get out of them they can't be beat by zildjian or paiste...well anything sabian kicks the shit out of a zildjian lol.

  • @sabian1hhx1only you clearly haven't looked into Zildjian enough.

  • @baronofhell08 I've played for 5 years, I've owned owned Zildjians from ZHT to A customs and they never have impressed me. In addition my teacher who has played for 20 years agrees with me.

  • @sabian1hhx1only i was never a fan of the Acustoms, i'm more for the Kcustom hybrid line, i guess its a matter of opinion, but Acustom is only good for their Rides IMO

  • @sabian1hhx1only zildjians a bit better IMO

  • I tried these out the other day, didn't like them at all. They sound like glorified b8's. I got the Xs20's instead. Much better sounding and you can get a complete set for under 600 on musicians friend.

  • @xAfroMetalHead1990x they are b8 cymbals, that's why

  • @allmetaliswelcome i hate how people don't understand b8 isnt a cymbal line. its a alloy and cymbals made with b8 sound like sabian b8's

  • @joedcashen that's exactly what is said....?

  • @allmetaliswelcome i was agreeing with you. i was talking about the other guy

  • These cymbals sound really great. Kind if a "white noise" highend but nice tight cut. Very sweet cymbals :) props to Sabian!!!

  • im thinking of getting an apx 18" crash? are they good? better than zildjian zht? are they professional? i need help, ive never tried sabian before =/

  • i was in the exact situation as you, and if you dont mind paying a little extra for the APX id say go for sabian. it's loud enough to cut through metal, but also musical enough to groove with, and just all around a great cymbal.

  • i reckon theyr better, but zhts are still great, if anything they sound very alike in pitch and cut. if (when) i break my apxs ill replace them with zhts (the fast crashes sound sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet)

  • Really, if you're compairing these to ZHT's you don't know what you're doing. APX is a pro cymbals brand that goes through hand hammering. ZHT is a beginner/intermidiate line that is machine made, and thought they are made of the same alloy, the APX's are definately more responsive and much louder

  • I tried to like the APX's but they have the same kind of "artificial" glassy sound that the B8s have. They are B8 bronze, but still, the high quality just isnt there. But to each their own :)

  • What's the name of the second song? when rich beddoe's speaking the first time...?

  • 0:18 ?

  • yeah

  • "Good Times" by Finger Eleven

  • okay thanks =)

  • APX = Alway Punch X-tremely

  • APX is made from metal and glass!

  • i love the apx crashes, they're not too much more than b8 yet they sound way better.

  • my apx 18 solid crash will dominate anything else in this town

  • hell yeah i just got the 18" crash and oh my god it was very cool and loud! i use the 18' aax metal crash too, and i put them both and great!

  • what kind of hi hats does neil use ?

    three days grace

  • he uses aa rock hats im pretty sure

  • zildjian is a really good cymbal company. they're pitch black crap was a really stupid idea in my opinion. they absolutely suck. i like zildjian but im open to sabian and wuhan splashes. it just depends on sound and what you want.

  • yeah dont buy that black coated shit.

  • yeah it's great, took a little getting used too, sounds really differnt than my old one, in good way

  • HA HA it was funny when Zildjian tried to copy Sabian APX with there Zildjian Pitch Black line....they suck specially the china its all about SABIAN!!!

  • yay! NEIL was in there!! TDG rulz!

  • yea TDG is sweet, but neil isnt a great drummer

he needs to put more difficulty into three days grace's songs

  • but neil sings to and the most other drummers don't sing

  • neil does backround vocal some of the time. he doesnt do main vocals

but you have a good point...

  • just got the effects pack, haven't got to play them properly yet, but i'm loving the 10" splash

  • wen u do can u tell me how the china sounds? i herd there kik ass.

  • yeah the chinas are awesome.

  • It's funny that George Kollias is in this video even when he doesn't use APX lol.

  • @bendrummin he uses an APX O-zone but mostly AAX and HHX :-P

  • yeah im lost too but i think they fall after the xs20s then its the AAs etc after the APXs. But im not sure because the APXs are made from B8 bronze and the xs20s are made from B20 which is way better

  • where in the line do these fall? after xs20 and before aax or after aa but before aax then hhx? im not sure but its been bugging me haha

  • these are their newest line out so far

  • i know its the newest line but i mean is it better than b8pros but doesnt go as far as AA or AAX? like is it next to XS20

  • Get what cymbals sound good to you...

As far as prices go these are about the same as the AA or AAX, if that helps at all

  • these sound awsum. which do u think r better, these or paiste RUDE's?

  • wat other drummers play APX??

  • Me. 16" APX crash. love it.

  • It's cool that sabian realised how much louder b8 bronze is to b20. This series is very cool, just like those paiste rudes. Perfect if your vocabulary ranges from death metal to screamo

  • nobody who listens to death metal listens to screamo. unless ur a piece of shit

  • alright i cant wait to play one

  • NEEIIILLLL SANDERSONNNNN ♥

  • i prefer the paiste gian beat

  • coupon voucher number ? should i be able to get a discount ?

  • sry but what's the name of the band and the song that starts at 0:17

    please help ne ;)

  • finger 11 - "good times"

  • thank you ;)

  • Yeah Neill!!!!!

    your drumming kickss asss!

  • So are these cast or sheet? It's not listen on sabians site.

Can't wait to buy a pack of these. My Xs are staring to get old. (like 3 years old at least)

  • Sheet.

  • theyre b20 bronze

  • actually this series is B8 bronze but its made the same way as the other professional lines they make. B8 has alot of high end to it but not too much low end so in theory it is the perfect choice for what this cymbal line is trying to achieve,

  • wow. i cant wait to hear 'em!!!!!

  • i tried out the sabian apx ride at the LI drum center. i think it was 20 or 21 inches. It was literally the nicest sounding ride i have ever played. the bell was incredible. i felt it would fit with any type of music but definetely perfect for metal.

  • APX seems great! It's like a hundred times grimmer reply to Paiste RUDE and Zildjian Z-Custom.. I wanna get an APX China!

  • Ray Luzier is with Korn now? And- I thought the Vaults were loud compared to even the AAXPlosions. And the lathing looks similar...is that what these APX cymbals are? A revamped Vault?

  • The lathing pattern is the same as on the AA line.

    ^_^

  • speak for plan B8 people ok pro sonix was good but this shood be better

  • pro sonix was amazing

  • what does george kollias say???

  • its sounds like " im trying to collect every sabian thing i can" ... but it makes no sense...idk

  • Yes that is what he says, but how does it not make sense? He pretty much means that he tries to get every Sabian cymbal he can get his hands on. Most likely to see if he likes it. He said when he went to the Sabian factory he tried every cymbal he could.

  • well yeah i didnt think about it in that way.. but who cares, he is a god

  • Totally!! Can't wait 'till I get Sabians.

  • Hmm, I don't know what to think of this new line.

I mean, I love Sabian, they are fantastic quality, and I'm sure these sound great. I just don't understand why they would release another line of cymbals for heavier styles of playing. After all, the AA series and AAX heavier weights are popular with metal drummers, and of course there's the AA Metal-X range, and Vault. I just don't really see the gap in the market.

    Anyone care to explain?

  • The APX line are THIN and FAST. They open up incredibly quickly and are just fricking loud. Essentially (this is from a forum where a Sabian rep posted about them), the cymbals are thin B8 discs made using AA-style hammering and lathing. So, a very fast, very quick, loud cymbal. Perfect for heavier types of music, especially more technical stuff where you don't always have time to wind up.

  • Ah I see. So they bring together the cutting sound of heavier cymbals like AA Metal-X with the agile and fast response of thinner cymbals.

    Hmm, sounds good I suppose.

  • Oh, absolutely. I can't wait to try em out. If they deliver, I would love to pick up a 16" or even 17" crash.

  • i want to hear it soon.

    genial hacia falta realmente

  • cool new line

  • wow. just wow!

  • hahhaha its almost funny how george kollias can destroy all those other guys...

  • yes it is funny but the only one that sabian didn't include in the printed advertisement who is in this video (jason rullo) is a different story. he would make a good match against kollias.

  • Badass, 5 stars.

  • Sexy....

  • Hmm I don't care about what the endorsers have to say, but I would like to hear these new cymbals!

  • fuckin awsome thats wat i need

  • HA George Kollias in it. seems cool. might have to go play some for myself, probably fucking expensive I bet

  • Hmm, probably not that expensive actually. They're B8 and machine hammered, so...

  • no freaking way finnaly !!!!!!! ive waited forrever for a new line eheheheheheh omeffing
