  • why so few hits ..its fantastic .....and no northern in front of it

  • incredible :)

  • Cal Gill was and still is hot as hell!!! and she such a great singer

  • My favourite watch on yt ever, is really the velvetettes? Born too late!

  • Millie, Norma, and Bertha are still wonderful. And Cal is really super on the lead.

They sound just as good as they did in 1964. What

.a courage to get up at about 60 years old and perform live on stage. Thanks to a wonderful reunion.

  • great music!

  • fantastic, lively performance!

and it should be mentioned the 4 women you see on this stage- Bertha, Norma, Milly and Cal- are ALL original group members, and were all on the original record.

  • GOD I LOVE THESE LADIES!!! I keep coming back to this vid. Just LOVE IT! What class. What voices! What style!

  • OMG! I love this performance, saw it telecast, and just went berserk! And the Ladies look incredible, and still sound incredible! I was 5 when this song came out, but my family has always been big on, jeez, it was Motown. Sorry, I'm no spring chicken. I'll be 52 next month. Now have "CRS"- can't remember s***. But this, I remember. Thanks so much for posting.

  • Absolutely superb!

  • But the sound is horrible

  • The great Jack Ashford on tambourine

  • @recordguy4321 I also saw Joe Hunter on the piano but it would have been better if they had Bob Babbitt , Uriel Jones , Ray Monette , and Eddie Willis on stage .

  • The lead singer is a very sexy woman.

  • At the taping, Cal was explaining to the piano player how to play the song. Pianist Joe Hunter said....you don't need to tell me, Cal, I played on the original recording!

    LOL

Watch Norma on that "Yeah" at 1:43...love her!

  • lead singer fantastic and backing group with the wigsa great but the band fantastic

  • divas !!!!!

    i love this song!!!!

  • Ooops! What a twit. I spelled the group name wrong. I guess I'm taking a trip without the luggage- LOL.

  • OMG! I had never heard of this group, although I was a 59 baby. I had the pleasure of seeing this show on KODC- Los Angeles. I timed the show, and they were 45 minutes in. The show was scheduled to air again @ 3:00 am. I actually set my alarm clock to see & hear them again. They look great, and they sound great. Viva la Velvetletts. And I am so totally hooked on this song. It has a messege; Gay, Straight, or confused- is like finding a needle in a haystack. LOL.

  • They sure are a nice looking group of ladies! They sound great too. I love their songs. I had never heard most of them until their greatest hits was released. THey had some good songs.

  • Great song. Have this on my phone...

  • This is (or maybe, was) a version of this really excellent song by Dusty Springfield on YouTube also. But this one is fab regardless of any others.

  • Does anyone have a video fo the studio version of this great advice song?

And where can i find thesheet music for this & the rest of the velvelettes songs?

  • TUFF!!!

  • Class!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oooo, I just love this song! Haven't heard this in so many years. Good to see them perform once again; they're as good today, as they were in '64! Terrific! 5+ stars.

  • What a Classic, used to kill me to keep to this rhythm lol but i did it with a little help of "you know what"!!!! lol good old days.

  • It was produced by the late, great Norman Whitfield. May he rest in peace!

  • Thanks for information about Norman Whitfield. I wasn't aware of his passing.

  • Absolutely precious video. I great up in Detroit in these days. I love this tune among many others. But this is stellar!

  • Very good =) 5*

  • This was one of the few performances from this show done live

  • This is FANTASTIC! Much better than the crap they did for Motorcity!

  • BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT

  • I love these ladies, ive known them for a while now, Cal is such a sweet lady

  • Cool girl group indeed, and it is nice to see them still together performing as good as they did back then. Thanx for posting!
