  • Please read the readme provided with the release. You need a copy (or iso) of BioHazard 2 SourceNext version to run it.

  • downloaded the sample... how do i use it? I tried to put it with my re copy and nothing happens. Make a tutorial please.

  • Hi again... i dont have the game from pc, and i want to download do you know a link and another question... its really necessary have the older Mod from P-TYPE? and contains all the soundtrack beta even from the sewers the the giant spiders come trough the ventilations hole? The only problem you have is editing the menu... that files must be on the Demo disc... just hack them...

  • Well, modding PSX games is a lot harder because of the TOC/LBA thingie and Capcom intentionally made a crypted file that's on each and every disc that contains the info on the CRC of each file, so altering them will result in a crash even when preserving the same filesizes...

  • No, you don't need the earlier released SAMPLE to play this one. Well, there are some leftovers on the BH 2 Trial but most of them are inventory pics etc. When it comes to inventory pics and font it's being reedited the time I right this :).

  • @SeiyaK0u oooo... ok thanks is good to know but the only problem is... i need the BIOHAZARD 2 PC original? and one other thing... the Weapon Cage Room in the window viewing to the Firing Range; the Firing Range is missing and you,re doing the that place? Is really interesting what you do....

  • Great man, simply great, keep it up, but I am also hoping that by the time this is all done, that most everything will be somewhat different then the original RE2, seeing as how this is the P-Type version and should resemble RE2 but feel more like RE1. Love the work, I wish there was something more I could do, I know a little about modding but only what people tell me, and I know nothing else about making backgrounds and the such D:

  • Thanks :)! The goal is to make it look as much as 1.5 as possible but note that this is just a mod and the retail engine has it's limitations so some 1.5 features are impossible, or YET impossible to port.

  • @SeiyaK0u actually they are possible. You need to know C and a few tricks. What i see is good, keep your head up,and you can do anything for the game! Im counting on YOU to make it so we can play.

  • Nah, original BH 2 is better then my MOD, however original 1.5 is probably better then original BH 2 ;)!

    Spend your 200 bucks on hunting for The Game, this MOD will be distributed for free once it's done, hopefully.

  • I like the rooms, and I imagine linking the rooms like that was to show them in play, instead of loading each room individually, right? And that's interesting to find out the autopsy room can be accessed from the basement, from the map videos I thought it might of been part of the RPD or labs. And I thought the basement room, where you fought the spiders, would of been after the sewers and before the factory and warehouse. Interesting, but I'm loving these updates, and look forward to more! :D

  • Actually, showing people that I can manage to link the rooms properly was one part of this releases goals, the more important one was to give people few totally different from retail BH 2 rooms that make a whole to play with as AFAIK noone before me ever did. I was hoping that my view (by all means not final) of the basement would be recieved a little better though ;)

  • Can you tell us how we can start the game without the error that appears that seems to say you need the CD inserted?

  • In case you didn't check your message box at the Modification Forum, this error never happened to me. Make sure that you have the game inserted in you first DVD drive (D:) and double check if you installed the game with full instalation box checked (some japanese text with 1,4 GB behind it)

  • Sorry to say that, but there are some, ummmm, LARGE errors on your basement.

  • Can you be more specific? I listed all the bugs in the readme provided with the release, are there more? Or, are you talking about the general layout of the basemenet?

  • @SeiyaK0u Yeah, the layout.

    The Firing Range room and the Armory are located next to each other.

    The morgue you used in this version is located on the 2F, not in the basement.

    The main corridor you use, plus the "sewer" corridor aren't canon of the 1.5.

    And the Firing Range, the Armory and the Garage are all located in that "yellow" corridor you see in 1.5 trailers.

  • Could you tell me where did get that informarion? I know that some custom made maps were made, but I don't recall seeing the official maps, so we can only guess the actuall layout of the basement (excluding the Firing Range and the Armory being located next to each othe). Also, I used the Basement BG leftovers found on the BioHazard 2 Trial Edition amongst other officially confirmed 1.5 BGs because we cannot deny or confirm if it was meant for 1.5. This was the best option as we don't know all

  • the angles of the Basement layout seen in the 1.5 trailers so we actually can't recreate them 100% accurately.

    Well, this is just a sample and the overall layout most likely will change for the final release, so bare with me ;)!

  • @SeiyaK0u Well, I have some maps here I made for my Re1.5 2D project. They were reviewed by Alzaire and he showed me a lot of lost pics of the basement. Based by the pics he showed me, my basement map is 85% accurate.

  • I sadly don't have access to all the screens Alizaire got from Kim and I actually didn't know what content they show, so the choice for using the Basement BG leftovers from the trial was obvious for me.

    Do you by any chance still have those pics :)? If I could send them to Le5sterleCheMiDevi he should be able to recreate them easilly.

    I know what map are you referring to, we have it in 640x479, if you can provide us with an higher resolution version would be good, since it's really hard to recognize the backgrounds that tiny

  • @Le5sterleCheMiDevi No, it's not BlackCrow map. According to Alzaire, BlackCrow map is wrong because it's 3x larger than the own RPD. But the pics are in my map in the best resolution I could found.

    Oh I see, can you provide me too with the map? so I can start modeling the whole area, and make a properly connection to the armory and the firing range rooms.

  • I have a question, how do you know what enemies belong in each room? I dont remember ever seeing this room...

  • Actually, for the rooms you see abouve, I just improvised since there's actually no info on that. The Armory and the Service Room are confirmed with screenshots 1.5 rooms, as for the other rooms, the BGs are leftovers from BioHazard 2 Trial Edition so there's a fair chance that they were meant for 1.5 + a trusted source confirmed that the AutopsyEoom is accesible from the Basement.

  • @doom0666 They're flame rounds. :P Not really explosive.

  • Actually, they're Flame Rounds + the zombies are toughened so overall they're not effective against them at all :P. Yup, the good ol' Shotgun is the best weapon for fightning a pack of zombies.
