The drums were recorded by Allan Schwartzberg cause Eric Carr didn't had " the right feeling". That's what producer Bob Ezrin said, same with Odyseey, which Schwartzberg recorded also. Later Schwartzberg played drums on Asylum and also did overdubs on Animalize. Simmons/Stanley knew Schwartzberg since 1972...
But I read for the first time know that Anton Fig played on "The Oath".
There are also rumours that Kevin Valentine played drums on Hot in the shade.

Ok people, I'll explain what happened at 2:33 Paul thought that Gene was goin to tell him something, as he usually does, Gene really bit Paul´s shoulder so Paul tried to bite Gene´s face but he really didn´t do it, Both of them were just joking @dianarockstar1911
I liked The Elder :( Didn't like the look of the band, but I'm Just A Boy was underrated... Ok, in retrospect I'm mistaken... This is a horrible song.
This is classic KISS. Their songs don't have a whole lot of variety (depending on the songwriter). This could have been on Destroyer and no one would have known any different. Some good Kiss songs on The Elder. Much better effort than Dynasty and Unmasked. Unmasked is just the worst. It's so bad people don't even bother talking about it. At least The Elder has some mystique and controversy about it. Some albums do business based on the previous albums. I think that The Elder and Creatures did s
This is from the TV show Fridays and is better quality than what KISS had on Kissology! The quality is so clear that you can see Ace grimacing the entire time. Ace was there, this isn't an imposter. This is the only live performance ever of this song, The Oath, and A World Without Heroes. Every other TV performance is a lipsync to the record. Eric Carr is really kicking ass here.
00poet : I don't listen to a whole lotta Kiss, but I am wondering the same thing as you about the audience. They're so laid back. Is this a KISS concert at a nursing home? Maybe the elders don't have their hearing-aids in? That's the only explanation I can come up with. LOL
@00poet I don't know a whole lot about KISS, but I'm wondering the same thing as you....Why is everyone so laid back? Was this a geriatric crowd or what? They didn't have their hearing aids turned up enough to hear KISS play? That's the only explanation I can come up with. LOL
there music stink are you nuts, they dont need the hall of fame, let the fans decide what kiss is worth and thats a hole lot more than the rock n roll hall of fame, after all can you realy call it the rock n roll hall of fame if there are pop musicians in there, what the hell has that got to do with rock music so in a way they are making a fool out of them selfs, so i,ll say kiss don,t need to be between pop groups

Ahhh.. I miss the days when a new person in the KISS lineup meant a new character as well.. not just re-sing someone else's persona.
