Hi Troy, interesting video, especially your idea of viewers of vlogs "finding the extraordinary in the ordinary." Nice turn of a phrase.
I vlog both to connect and to entertain, and, like you, I don't like to make a video in which I ramble. It works for some vloggers who manage to be interesting just by talking about their days, but I need a little more structure in terms of a definite topic or theme before I post.
I enjoy your videos, so I hope that you can sustain your Monday plan. Ray
Troy, that's a very good point! You never know how many people benefit from someone taking the initiative and showing boring as interesting and worthwhile! Not that this video is boring, LOL!!!! But yeah, we all need a good excuse to come out of isolation and connect with others in a good and constructive way ---- you could be saving marriages here. :)
I'm having the most difficult time posting a comment on this video... lol. So I'm just going to start over. Hopefully your video's not spammed to death.
I'm completely fine with vlogs being boring. I actually love boring vlogs. When I see something titled as a vlog, it puts my mind in a certain mindset. "This is going to be boring in a good way" or something. lol And definitely keep us in the loop about the books. :-) Glad you're doing well.
@ericsthirdeye, you know, sometimes I have the same problem and it is so frustrating! Now I always copy what I'm about to post JUST in case it goes nowhere, then all I have to do is paste it to try again. It sucks. I'm looking forward to your new channel!
Yay for the progress with your book! I know that must be exciting. I love real bolgs. I know they are not always the most exciting things but in a world of fake, real people are golden to me, you know. So thanks for sharing with us!
I can relate to some videos being boring, however, life is not always a sit-com and YouTube is unique in that it allows us to listen to opinions and ideas from people we most likely will never meet. I don't really mind a boring Vlog because usually that person will say at least one interesting thing that I can think about.
@OceanTownPictures, that is so refreshing to know! That's what I was thinking as I found myself concerned with my "boring" content. I usually find SOMETHING of interest in those vlogs that are sharing so vulnerably. And I always enjoy yours, of course!
so now my mondays are reserved for 'Heroes' and 'Troy tv!'

Hi Troy!
I also liked the phrase "finding the extraordinary in the ordinary" that is something we should all try and do a little more of each day.
See you next Monday!

to stay interesting is always difficult. I hope that my videos manage to entertain in some respect though.

@aquarianick, thanks! Since you see me so often in Analog Life, I'd think you'd be the first to get bored, so what you said is nice to know!
